I know I'm not him but the R6 has a more revvy engine, the CBR is more torquey. CBR is marginally more comfortable but the R6 is prettier.

Whichever bike you buy you'll walk away happy for a weekend ride.

Thanks bro, I was damn lucky actually. Same price as an 08 CBR 1000 RR and 08 R1. Test rode both her and the CBR, CBR was faster but no character. She won pretty much hands down. I was so in love wub.gif when they started her engine (v-twin goodness) I just had to have her. Very well maintained by previous owner, who is currently servicing her again.

Haha price for new one ALSO WAYYY beyond me too ; )

Actually the 848 was stretching budget. budget was about 70k. But the offer was too good to resist.

The 848 isn't a particularly good first superbike. If you've ridden big bikes in the past its not so bad, else I would recommend a japanese 600 first. Ducati's can be a little temperamental, especially servicing wise. Mine is okay (touch wood) but I know there are a few dodgy ones flying around. I don't send my bike to Naza for servicing though. Japanese 600's are generally bullet proof maintainence wise and most places will be able to fix them. Ducati's require specialist tools. Only 2-3 places I know of can service them. Naza, Welly Batu Caves and Sunway Cycles.

Good to hear. I'm sure places in SG can service. It's just these places in KL la that I know. Being KL based and all.

Thanks I actually prefer the 848/1098/1198 series styling anyhow. Given the choice I would want a 998R *think the Matrix reloaded with the keymaker scene, the other bike was an MV augusta F4, nice also drool.gif *.
