QUOTE(Aria72 @ Dec 10 2016, 02:39 PM) beware of this chinese guy who looks thin with phua chu kang hair style at Sony Store Curve. paid in full can cut queue?this guy got lousy attitude towards customers. when i went there to check on my pro preorder, he simply say i am number 45 on the waiting list. when i said i already paid in full, he again simply say i am number 4. he didn't even bother to ask my name to properly check it with the waiting list. not satisfied with this kind of dumbass answer, i approach another chinese guy who looks big & have a crew cut or flat top hairstyle. i repeated my request to this chap and he proceeded to properly check my name on the list. then i found i was number 2. i complained to him that the other guy simply gave me an answer without checking the list & he asked me who it was. i pointed out the accused to him and he glared at him like he was going to fire him. after that he told me if you already paid in full, they will give you priority over those who didn't pay. so beware of this chinese guy who looks like phua chu kang at sony store curve. if you want answers about your preorder speak to the other chap i mentioned earlier instead. |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Dec 10 2016, 07:21 PM) Lelz at you telling people to "get their facts right" and then say "u cant even aim properly with controller". meaning they already bear with the controller disadvantageLike wow, perhaps you weren't born with thumbs but stop the hyperbole here please. Whether one plays fps games on a console or not is an entirely different topic. It's like saying badminton are just for people with short legs and real atheletes play tennis instead, which is where all the money is. That's stupid sounding isn't it? why bother the hard to notice input lag???? 55 inch high res tv has far too many advantage over a 27inch screen we are not talking about pc gaming here wireless controller aircond sofa ultra big screen( i gaming on 180inch screen, epson full hd home cinema) |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Dec 10 2016, 09:39 PM) What people choose to play on, that's their choice. Tell me input lag on tv can slower than internet connection.Uhm the only thing a 55" TV has over a 27" monitor (assuming both are high-end displays) is size. Monitors rake in below 5ms of input lag, the lowest input lag from a TV in 2016 is 19ms. You can argue that "haiya you all also not epsorts pros, why bother?", that's the a-typical hyperbole that I cannot understand. It's more fun when playing semi-competitively on a low input lag display, one doesn't need to be a pro to ENJOY that. In this case, since I have an LG OLED E6 65 and an Asus PG279Q. I play Destiny on my monitor, I play FFXV on the TV. Who are you to tell me (or anyone) that playing Destiny (or any other game) on the monitor is pointless then? Similarly, you like playing on an Epson projector which typically has over 90ms of input lag... well cool, that's up to you. No one's to say you shouldn't. But don't go around spewing bullshit that big TVs > high end monitors. To each their own. If u have a 0 lag screen Play on internet multiplayer games, u input will b lag free? |

QUOTE(shikimori @ Dec 14 2016, 07:44 PM) I think you guys might overrate ps4 pro . Yes , its better than regular ps4 but groundbreaking game changer solid 60fps hell no. sry but bro.Fake 4k ? I think HDR much noticeable than 4k . Even regular ps4 can do HDR provided you have the right tv . Regular ps4 will do the job for now . Unless future games can show tangible gain when using ps4 pro why not. For now its kinda a mix bag . Instead of gaining performance you lose performance. u abit slowpoke the last guardian already break ps4 and only run ok on ps4 pro this is a beginning i m not saying pro is good ps4 is outdated current best choice would b pro + 1080p more and more game will suffer framerate issue on ps4. |

QUOTE(hctang @ Jan 4 2017, 04:51 PM) Hello.. wanna ask is it worth to get ps4 slim instead of ps4 pro? Am surveying but couldn't decide which to buy one big reason why ps4 stock is so hard to find(except low number of unit produce in 1st batch) ps4 pro vs ps4 slim is no brainer. 2xGPU power @ only rm300 more. (1tb vs 1tb) pointless to have pro even u DO NOT HAVE 4K TV see the last guardian tragedy only playable on 1080p + ps4 pro. other setting got constant fps drop |

QUOTE(NixiN-7hieN @ Jan 5 2017, 11:38 AM) I'm ok with paying for the Pro as well and it's noticeable to me how fps will affect gameplay. But I think my fears was realized just a week or two before the launch (and after deposit), that games that are not patched will play the same as before when Mark Cerny told reporters that the system will turn off half of the system if the games were not patched to take advantage of the extra hardware. So it was not like a PC with more GPU or CPU where more specs meant better performance, it still required developers to patch games to use them. ps4 pro best scenario is play under 1080p hdr.So having a PS4 earlier, I had hoped games like Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3 and The Witcher 3 would run better with better specs but because of how the system works. They will never be patched and they will play the same on the old PS4s. And because Pro support is optional and not mandatory, many developers choose not to support games that have already been released except for a few of the bigger companies because they have the manpower like Square Enix. Even then like how I mentioned above, their improvements are not always clear. One could just be higher resolution UI like Overwatch and nothing else was improved or it could be wide sweeping options like Rise of the Tomb Raider where you get to choose from higher resolution, higher fps or mix of both. But coming from PC background, I wished that Sony mandated every developer to give options like these instead of weird crap like The Last Guardian needing to set your PS4 resolution to 1080P to get the best frame rate. Now I'm not saying that these issues won't be improved as developers get feedback and adjust. But for now, unless you had a 4K TV that works with the PS4 Pro, with 10bit HDR support AND had a GAME MODE that reduces latency, to get the "best" performance is just a hassle and I find it super disappointing that 1080p has more or less similar experience to before unless developers choose to update the game and you don't have a choice to choose the "improvements" that you want. Again, like I mentioned before. I was burnt many times. And maybe if I had it in my hands I wouldn't make as much noise. But having the free time, since I can't game. Going though all the games that have gotten updates late last year felt minimal or some do it downright atrociously (see: The Last of Us Remastered and Battlefield 1) where the developers can't decide on giving better graphics at the cost of frame rate or frame rate with slightly better graphics due to Sony's dumb arbitrary PS4 Pro improvements list. 4k, 1080p difference can be diminish with distance of view. frame rate, extra effect, aa, loading speed. but as a tech staff, i dont find any trouble setting up my pro with any tv |

QUOTE(NixiN-7hieN @ Jan 6 2017, 05:02 PM) I think the answer is i think u are wrong1) It's too expensive to import R1 games when it's cheaper to have Asia region. 2) No one cares (except me and you) Mostly 1. But 2 is pretty damn close too. most R1 disc is far cheaper compare R3 and the r1 disc price decrease faster than r3 check the amazon. even count in transport and tax |

QUOTE(NixiN-7hieN @ Jan 9 2017, 11:28 AM) I would argue to get the Slim now because the difference in performance (currently) is not worth the price or waiting time. r3 has no authorized distributor outside r3 regionI wholeheartedly agree, buying overseas R1 is much cheaper than buying locally in the long run. But I think the question was why local stores don't bring in R1 games which for the regular consumer, they don't really care about this stuff. The stores here target those customers that don't care if it's R1 or R3 or R32. So it's like two different argument, initial cost I believe would be cheaper to get locally in bulk than to wait for oversea prices to drop and then bring them in. If I'm wrong about it being cheaper to bring in locally in bulk then I will admit my misunderstanding. In the long run, the average price of R1 games are cheaper, in the context of the world. In context of Malaysia, the game stores just want to get in bulk from a local supplier as cheaply as possible. Then they leave prices higher for longer because we have many people who aren't as educated buying games online from play-asia or Amazon or even the PSN store. Would I love to have a game store here reflect outside prices, sure. But reality is they don't. So I'm saddened by it. I hate going into a store just to have in the back of my mind the current prices of all the games I want to buy, I would love to support local goods. But they make it so hard to justify buying locally. this is not sony plan. |
