if pre-ordered from those Sony PAD stores and already paid in full, you should be safe
They'll need to honor the pre-ordered price

but if pre-ordered from some game stores with history of not honoring the pre-ordered price? (Game Hypermart)

Even if by miracles they do get a few units after Sony increase the RRP, they will not, and never will honor the pre-ordered price of 1799, even if you already paid in full.
that's from my personal experience with them, waited a few months after pre-ordered the NES Classic Mini with them, only to receive a notification from to them requesting me to top up the difference after price increase, if you refuse to top-up, they are even happier since they can cancel your order and re-sell your unit with a higher price.

Avoid them at all cost!

Well, MS will be launching their Xbox Pass, a monthly game subscription for USD10 monthly with a library of 100+ games

Pretty sure Sony will follow suit soon with similar service

Well, that was last time, for the past few months US Stores doesn't offers much good sales, but instead it's the MY Stores that offers tonnes of good deals.
