55' KU6000 for under 4k
55' KS7000 for slightly above 5k
Difference:-

KU6000 is not a proper HDR TV

thx bro for the fast response.
I will be sure to look at those tvs u suggested.
KU6000 looks nice too. but what is the drawback?

Sony X80D is good too. On par with Samsung KU6000.
Looked like the cheap KS7000 which are below Rm3500 before are out of stock right now in Malaysia. I'm sure it's because of the PS4 Pro owners all hunting them down. Lucky to those who bought them early.

thx dude. but i think sony is somewhat pricier. XD

It doesn't hv the wide color gamut, and peak brightness is lower.
In Samsung "terms", UHD vs SUHD

i see. much appreciated for the response

Yeah, you better get the KU6000. It's much cheaper and have almost the same rating with X80D. If you can wait, I'll suggest you to get the 2017 model Samsung 4K TV that support HDR10 with wide colour gamut. I use that TV with the Pro and the HDR10+4K picture quality are breathtaking.
*
ah ok noted bro. so you are using which model?is it KU6000?

Same with me. I got one in early November and just paired it with my PS4 Pro last week. Needless to say, it looked especially fabulous, especially when I start up FFXV.  wub.gif  wub.gif  wub.gif

Hi guys, a few of you here knows that I got my PS4 Pro last week from Sony Malaysia, I'm here to report an update on it.

I've been using the Pro for a week now, the TV that I use are Samsung KS7000 paired with an old LG home theater. I fired up the FFXV for almost a 12 hours every week and until today i didn't turn off my PS4 Pro yet, only putting it on rest mode for a few hours so that I can sleep while the PS4 downloading my huge backlogs from my PSN digital library. The fan and HDD (2TB Seagate Slim Plus) are running quietly and I didn't even notice their sounds when playing unless I'm focusing on them. The Pro obviously a little hot when playing games so an open cabinet is recommended, as you can see I use closed cabinet but when playing I open up the glass doors infront and the cabinet have a small hole  that been drilled at the back for ventilation.

The picture quality when playing 4K + HDR games are superb. I tried FFXV and Infamous: First Light and the differences HDR and non-HDR make are staggering. If you're looking to buy a new TV for Pro and have some cash, I urge you to get 10-bit panel with wide colour gamut 4K TV. That the only way you can experience HDR gaming as intended by game developers. Overall I have a very nice experience with my first PS4. I hope my friends here in this thread will also get their PS4 Pro ASAP.

P/S: I already cancelled my pre-order at GH so those that waiting at No. 101 will move up to fill up my previous spot at No. 100. Hope you enjoyed my first impression on the PS4 Pro. Here a few picture of my PS4 Pro setup for you guys that always here complaining with me when I'm waiting for news of the Pro from GH. Haha.

From what I understand, it depends on how good that 4K HDR TV is at upscaling the output from the old PS4. There is some HDR on the old PS4 but it's not the same HDR that is on the PS4 Pro. So it depends on what TV you are using that can answer this question, without knowing the TV, you cannot tell if it will support the HDR function that the older PS4 has. It might upscale the output, but everything else depends.
*
thx for your input bro. does hdr feature work on the game that does not have hdr supported.

QUOTE(starz92 @ Jan 5 2017, 02:04 PM)
what do you meant by work well?
so far, I've only played FFXV with the HDR function and works fine.
*
bro since you are using 4k hdr tv, can you shere your exp of using the new tv compare to the previous one?
does the tv upscale the game to 4k quite well? and does the hdr give any impact to the old game that does not have hdr support
owh ya if you dont mind can you share the tv model that you are using now?
thinking to upgrade but worried about the values im getting from the tv not worth the money spend
Thx smile.gif

Any1 tried normal ps4 to 4k tv? Will the upscale cause the output laggy and worst?
*
mine is ok. But have turned on the "game mode"
Can feel a bit sluggish when game mode is turn off.
Make sure you check the tv input lag before buying one.

Wait input lag we are talking about for 1080p @60fps ker?

Samsung UHK6000 model has 19.8ms input lag.
However if 4K resolution the input lag figure change right? Is my understanding correct?
*
im referring to his 4k tv input lag. i believe 30 ms is quite good already for 4k gaming tv.
Yup you are correct the input lag may differ between resolution.
