LOL, what was wrong with my statement? Even games like FIFA and Rocket League are much better on a monitor than a big tv (I have a 45 inch and 65 inch tv and a 24 inch monitor)

meaning they already bear with the controller disadvantage
why bother the hard to notice input lag????

55 inch high res tv has far too many advantage over a 27inch screen

we are not talking about pc gaming here

wireless controller
aircond
sofa
ultra big screen( i gaming on 180inch screen, epson full hd home cinema)

What people choose to play on, that's their choice.

Uhm the only thing a 55" TV has over a 27" monitor (assuming both are high-end displays) is size. Monitors rake in below 5ms of input lag, the lowest input lag from a TV in 2016 is 19ms. You can argue that "haiya you all also not epsorts pros, why bother?", that's the a-typical hyperbole that I cannot understand. It's more fun when playing semi-competitively on a low input lag display, one doesn't need to be a pro to ENJOY that.

In this case, since I have an LG OLED E6 65 and an Asus PG279Q. I play Destiny on my monitor, I play FFXV on the TV. Who are you to tell me (or anyone) that playing Destiny (or any other game) on the monitor is pointless then?

Similarly, you like playing on an Epson projector which typically has over 90ms of input lag... well cool, that's up to you. No one's to say you shouldn't. But don't go around spewing bullshit that big TVs > high end monitors.

To each their own.

lol @ the guy whom debate playing fps on console is not ideal and gaming on monitor than TV is a bad idea.
also, should you say that 'barely noticeable input lag' term, please turn off your TV's game mode and game on 'Standard' mode. let's see who's crying for kills in competitive gameplays.

thats why they add "game mode" feature solely to reduce input lag.

low input lag but crappy aiming still consider a bad player (in competitive game)

aiming can be practiced but input lag cannot be fixed.
plus, lower input lag helps to reduce over-aiming.

EDIT : to add, certain TVs with game mode have weaker processors, and the lowest input lag of these TVs can achieve is 50ms, which falls into unplayable territory. Example : the LG TV that I'm sharing with my parents now. Can't remember which model but it's a 2011 model.

Internet connection you cannot control, unless your father is TM's CEO. But input lag is something anyone can take control of, simply by choosing the correct display for their needs. The point is to minimize as many negativity in regards to controls.

Once again, there are people like you who doesn't know/understand what high input lag does to the general control fluidity of games. Ignorance is bliss as many say, which in your case is exactly that.

Unfortunately, not everyone has the same blissful ignorance as you... so, sucks to be us. rolleyes.gif

that dude is funny trying to change subject from display input lag to internet connection . Fact matter is there advantage using pc monitor as compared to tv for fps games if you are a hardcore player due to input lag . Of course dont confuse with refresh rate it wont matter for console

For me destiny ,bf1 ,cod ,overwatch I will play with my xim4 on a monitor while games like gta v , ffxv , fifa on controller connect to fhd tv

Hmmm, sorry but im just asking out of curiosity, can somebody explain to me how playing with a monitor can become a waste? Based on my knowledge, Monitor is made for gaming, in terms of input lag, viewing angle, more natural color reproduction and etc, monitor definitely have upper hand, TV is designed for Movies while Monitor designed for Gaming, if tv is better for gaming, why professional player or Pc master race didnt use TV as their setup?🤔🤔 Any correction or clarification is very much appreciated, Thanks! 😄
