QUOTE(Desert Punk @ Dec 1 2016, 04:32 PM) Well, why not give it a try. I doubt you have anything to lose. Who knows, you might end up like some of the posters here posting photos of their newly obtained Pros on the forum I think its too late to try now as most of the waiting lists in the centers are 5++ pages long..The best bet now is to camp the shop and hopefully can snatch 1 out from the center.. lol |

Well, life can be full of surprises, just when you think it's not gonna happen, the opposite happens lol, but of course I'm not saying there's a big chance you're gonna get a Pro la if you do a walk in. But if the circumstances and situation allows, no harm giving it a try lol. Some of the peeps here got theirs by luck as well. The best bet now is to camp the shop and hopefully can snatch 1 out from the center.. lol |

Anyone here using custom scuf controllers ?
I placed an order for the infinity PS4 controller a few days ago. Things have been moving slowly so I decided to read a few Reddit threads. And holy crap.... The controller takes a long time to be delivered. Plus they are known to be defective with bad customer service. As one controller cost 3 times the price of a regular controller, it's not cheap.... Anyone with here experience with A scuf before ? |

I should try to cancel my order. Heard they have shitty customer service as well. They will expect us to pay for shipping back to the US even if controller is DOA. |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Dec 1 2016, 02:49 PM) Common misconception. +1 to this! I have a very old HDMI cable that I couldn't remember when or where I bought it. I just plug it in and configured my settings and there it is, 4K output with 60hz display. The actual device ports are the difference maker. All standard HDMI cables are built the same actually. A HDMI cable that came out in 2007 can transport 4k signals with HDR as long as its of sufficient gauge to maintain the distance the signal has to travel. You just need to make sure the cable is a high speed full bandwidth cable. The difference in HDMI compatibility is at the ports, not the cable. Most people do not know this, which is why the exotic HDMI cable market is so lucrative. |

QUOTE(LegendLee @ Dec 1 2016, 04:47 PM) Anyone here using custom scuf controllers ? Was sponsored one last year. It was good while it lasted.... like 4 months lol. Heck, it showed signs of breaking after 1 month+. I already knew I had a bad piece as right out of the box, all the joints were squeaking and the shoulder buttons were getting stuck (L1/R1) with just a few rapid presses. A month later, the right analog started to drift and while it wasn't a common occurrence, it has more than enough times screw up a lined up headshot on my end. Then when it came to the month where it died, the battery gave out first (which was a simple fix for me though), but more importantly the bluetooth started to go haywire and will frequently disconnect for absolutely ZERO reason. It was also at this time the shoulder buttons were completely fcked, it will stick 90% of the time and my R2 button will often cease to register an input. The built quality of SCUF is basically hit and miss, but more often than not it's a miss. I personally know someone who has had their SCUF inifnity since 2014 and it's still working like a champ until today. But me personally, lol - Yeah SCUF should be renamed SUCK. Took money out of my own pocket and customized another DS4 from Battle Beaver instead. Ended up to be cheaper, better build quality and it still works absolutely fine with zero issues until today, 7 months later. CinchGaming and SHARQ are good alternatives too btw. SCUF is great as long as you are willing to roll the dice, hope you get a good piece and really, really hope it stays alive for longer than a year. *EDIT* Phone typing is stupid. The amount of typos. QUOTE(k0nijiwa @ Dec 1 2016, 03:02 PM) I just asked my wife to find the Sony Centre in The Gardens, but she couldn't find it. The guard said there is only one Sony Centre and it's in Midvalley.I checked The Gardens website, the Sony Centre is also de-listed there with missing page. So may I know where exactly did you go? So, Sony Centre takes payment for booking of Pro. What happens if I canx order? Forfeit payment? I'm still holding on my slim hope of getting my unit by Jan from GH. Moving soon, that's why I'm reluctant to re queue.

QUOTE(Mgsrulz @ Dec 1 2016, 08:51 PM) Yes. It's just like there are a lot more to smartphones than just apple and samsung. There's a reason why good custom products aren't well known. They spend the money on the build quality and crasftmanship, not e-peen advertising. |

I already knew I had a bad piece as right out of the box, all the joints were squeaking and the shoulder buttons were getting stuck (L1/R1) with just a few rapid presses. I had the same experience of sticking shoulder buttons. It is a easy fix, open up the controller put silicon grease on the connecting joints and clean any dust stuck there. A month later, the right analog started to drift and while it wasn't a common occurrence, it has more than enough times screw up a lined up headshot on my end. After I did that it was like new. When I opened it I noticed originally it had grease already there but has dried up and clumped up with dust. |
