i went to check with Sony Center Alor star at Aman central yesterday.
damn PS Pro 4 also out of stock.

the sony guy said they are also waiting stock from Sony HQ in KL. If in KL no stock means, same goes for other states as well. then he said the pricing for PS4 Pro might be changed due to currency so perhaps it might be as close as RM2000 later on.

the new stock might arrive around CNY or maybe later in february.

what a bummer!  rclxub.gif  doh.gif

I think the answer is

1) It's too expensive to import R1 games when it's cheaper to have Asia region.

2) No one cares (except me and you)
Mostly 1. But 2 is pretty damn close too.

i think u are wrong

most R1 disc is far cheaper compare R3
and the r1 disc price decrease faster than r3

check the amazon.

even count in transport and tax

I would argue to get the Slim now because the difference in performance (currently) is not worth the price or waiting time.

I wholeheartedly agree, buying overseas R1 is much cheaper than buying locally in the long run.

But I think the question was why local stores don't bring in R1 games which for the regular consumer, they don't really care about this stuff. The stores here target those customers that don't care if it's R1 or R3 or R32. So it's like two different argument, initial cost I believe would be cheaper to get locally in bulk than to wait for oversea prices to drop and then bring them in. If I'm wrong about it being cheaper to bring in locally in bulk then I will admit my misunderstanding.

In the long run, the average price of R1 games are cheaper, in the context of the world. In context of Malaysia, the game stores just want to get in bulk from a local supplier as cheaply as possible. Then they leave prices higher for longer because we have many people who aren't as educated buying games online from play-asia or Amazon or even the PSN store. Would I love to have a game store here reflect outside prices, sure. But reality is they don't. So I'm saddened by it. I hate going into a store just to have in the back of my mind the current prices of all the games I want to buy, I would love to support local goods. But they make it so hard to justify buying locally.

ps4 slim also hot ka? my PS4 (standard version one) have this problem, and i use..

user posted image

i shit you not.. laugh.gif

always a problem with uncharted 4 - jet engine sound + 1 time kena blue notification screen "your PS4 is too hot, bla bla bla"

either you play in an air-conditioned room or just ensure your PS4 have room to breathe..
oh, and don't forget to clean the air vents once in a while.

2 games i play nowadays : MGSV & UC4, only UC4 heats up the system significantly.
hence the table fan. thumbsup.gif

yeah ps4 slim also heats up. but if you're asking whether it is over heating then i'm not sure laugh.gif

its kinda hot but not too hot. but hot enough to trigger a thought of whether or not should i buy a cooling fan for this thing.

i usually play it in air conditioned room, but thing is the ps itself is in a square cabinet (place where you put your dvd player under the tv cabinet) so airflow is not much i suppose. so i'm looking for ideas on how to cool it down without moving it out

Any region will do.
But if you plan to buy DLC, you have to choose the game region same as your PSN account created.
Asia - R3
US - R1
R2 / R4 pretty rare biggrin.gif

@ben explained about the 'overheating' situation in the previous pages..

from my layman point of view, the console will still run hot.. i mean, there's a lot of graphic processing running inside of it..
whether it's overheating or not - i'm sure that there are already failsafe built inside to avoid overheating and should be safe to use.

however, if you play the game and suddenly the game pauses, with the warning "your PS4 is running too hot, please turn-off bla bla bla",
then that is surely a sign that your system is indeed overheating.

another thing to point - i also put it in the tv cabinet, where air is restricted.
hence, i need the help from my trusty table fan to 'stir things up' for the console to let it cool down better.

before this, i put the PS4 on top of the cabinet with a vertical stand, it can run slightly less noisy
and no issue with the overheating warning.

i get what you mean there

i'm thinking that a lower temperature will increase its life span. and i do not have a table fan, just air conditioning.

maybe buy a mini fan cucuk usb port let it run at the back? lol

Anybody used this LG 49" 4K TV Model 49UH610T for PS4 Pro? icon_question.gif What I can say here it's was HDR 10 as their website http://www.lg.com/my/tvs/lg-49UH610T
Isn't true it can support HDR 10? which is using 10-bit instead of 8-bit panel bcoz the price for this TV was really cheap right now which I can get it only RM1911 on Lazada blink.gif

Oh I see, so as long I am not planning to buy the DLC, it won't matter.
May I know what might be the DLC all about? Is it just the costumes and such? Will the DLC affect the main gameplay of the game?
Speaking of PSN acc, once I registered my acc to that particular region, I can't change my region anymore?

Thanks a lot for answering my questions, appreciate it a lot notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

Once register, you can't change region.
But you're free to create another new account.

DLC depends on game. Some are costume/skins.
Others are maps / expansions / extra content etc that might have canon story.

If not, just wait out and get the Game Of The Year edition that bundles everything into single disc.
