Real top football rich list

From SkySports.com

Real Madrid remain the richest club in world football, according to the latest published report on the game's big earners.

Though Los Merengues may have not won a trophy in the past three seasons, they remain the highest money earners after an income of euro292.2million (£192.7million) for the 2005/06 season - an increase of six per cent.

Real's arch-rivals Barcelona were second in the list with an income of euro259.1million (£171million), though the Spanish and European champions' growth was an impressive 25 per cent last season.

The findings come from the latest edition of the Football Money League report that was published by consultants Deloitte.

In all, the top 20 clubs reached earnings of £2.31billion, with revenue from television and sponsorship deals being a major factor.

Eight of the clubs in the top-20 list come from the Premiership, with Manchester United listed as the fourth-richest club at euro242.6million (£160million).

Rangers may be well behind Old Firm rivals Celtic in the Scottish Premier League table, but they are the only Scottish club to crack the 20 - sitting 18th after earnings of euro88.5million (£58.4million).

Deloitte also stated the new television deals that are set to begin in Europe next season will increase clubs' revenues, with the Premiership likely to contribute half of the top 20 clubs under its new TV deal come next season.

List of World's richest clubs

1 Real Madrid - £192.7million
2 Barcelona - £171million
3 Juventus - £165.8million
4 Manchester United - £160million
5 Milan - £157.5million
6 Chelsea - £145.8million
7 Internazionale - £136.3million
8 Bayern Munich - £135million
9 Arsenal - £126.9million
10 Liverpool - £116.1million
11 Lyon - £84.2million
12 Roma - £83.8million
13 Newcastle United - £82million
14 Schalke - £81.1million
15 Tottenham Hotspur - £70.7million
16 Hamburg - £67.1million
17 Manchester City - £59million
18 Rangers - £58.4million
19 West Ham United - £57.3million

You may not be tongue.gif. The list just takes into account the revenue generated over the last year. It does not take into account the expenses incurred during that period. Real Madrid could have generated the most income in the last 2 years but i can assure you we were one of the highest spenders as well. Does that make us the richest? hmm.gif

i can't find the source of report anymore, but i'm pretty sure AC n Inter were actually not quite hav much nett profit laz term. in fact there were only 4 teams that hav positive balance in their account book laz term in Serie A - Juve n Roma are 2 of them.

Less stars after selling off Vieira, Cannavaro, and few others and their wages probably also cut their expenditures some.

Valencia is not rich, has internal problem, and has anti-football manager.
Seriously our money is tight. Simao's transfer failed because we cant afford his demand on salary. Del Horno's salary in chelsea is 45k but here in our club he only get 15k something.
This is tough time being VCF supporter.May god bless other loyal Valencianistes.

You have my support.. Valencia is the only team I like in Spain biggrin.gif tongue.gif because in some ways they are like Arsenal, punching above their financial weight while keeping the competition hot against rich clubs like RM and Barca.

Why sell their top striker for cash? Unless they are facing bankrupcy or having financial problems; or having received a ridiculous amount of cash with adequate backups available for purchase, it's unwise to sell Villa now.

It's purely based on profits that we get from attendance, television revenues, merchandising and etc...

Imagine where the Magpies will be in the ranking if we have joined CL or UEFA Cup last season smile.gif

We manage to buy him because he agreed for a lower salary.
Our 1st option was simao, he is 5m cheaper than joaquin but his demand on salary is too high and before that we sold Aimar for 9m something. That explains how we got the money.

Arsenal buy their youth player.
Only few are englishmen.
Valencia made them. Vicente, Gavilan, Silva, Albiol, Pallardo, & Aaron Niguez.
We might have Alexis, Juan Mata or Raul Garcia next season. They are Spaniard even though they dont come from our youth team.
I think the only exeption is Butelle who is French u-21 goalkeeper.
