The last GMMT Gathering made in BTS sure brought some unplanned surprises. That purchase of the 1/6th scale machinegun for my Char really spun the masses. Serious lulz to the AnimeShrine peoples who got caught up in it as well.



Before I forget myself in my visual digress, I recall two dudes here who were interested in my 1/6th M14 rifle (I believe it was wmconan & 0300078). Still want it? I have one extra I can give away. First come first fetch.

Whoohoo chriswoo, you into FSS too? Gureito! What is the theme, the Dark Mirage ? How many FSS kits do you own at the moment? What's your 2cents about the Wave 1/144scale FSS build?

I am interested in the 1/144scale FSS line myself (I only have the KOG metallic). But I'm more into their limited 1/100scale range. My current ongoing FSS project is this LED Mirage Boomerang Unit System:


Seeing that you may be experienced in this sort of thing, I have a query. It's from the manual showing something that has to be done to the vinyl (maybe, sure as heck it's not resin) pieces of this kit. Can you enlighten me on this? Question open to everyone else too.

Short story- This is primarily due to the exposure of the awesome King Gainer OP and its soul-absorbing properties, thus my cerebrum was itching with inspiration. So, once I have acquired my Revoltech King Gainer, there's one thing left to do . Note: GIF image, quite large filesize.

'Tis my first attempt at some stop-motion GIFfery, pardon me for the inherent QUALITY and my obsolete camera. Will definitely attempt greater feats in the coming future.

Oh the joys of a hobby like GunPla! Can be done anywhere, anytime; even during a massive blackout. Durrrrr... what brilliance, building a black MS in the dark blackness.

This time 'round will just be a three-parter post; just gonna post some more 'surplus material' before comitting to the next Big One.

Just a litte quoting time from the GMMT v11 thread before we proceed,
Actually I am planning to get myself a blog, meanwhile getting help from a friend to host and manage it as starters. Of course I've never considered LYN to be my personal blog, but I believe it is acceptable to construct on rare occasions, a veritable wall o' text. As long as the contents are truly related and about the thread subject and not full of junk and spam, yes?

We never had problems with fellow enthusiasts who are new to both the hobby and LYN; everyone has started off from some point thoughout their lifetime. Not to mention that some of the veterans I've known around LYN before have fallen off the radar, and if there are no fresh faces joining in, the forum will be a very lonely place. Also refreshing and vital to have new and different viewpoints about our common passion.

After all, I began my Gundam psyche about a decade before coming here, so being new in the forum does not mean being new to the hobby. In the end, this is still one wacky family.


Moving to pictar tiem, here's what has been promised last night. The first half is about the just-discovered fun of kit supplements and extras. One example is the M.S.G. (Modelling Support Goods) range manufactured by Kotobukiya. All of them is listed here. What I found most enjoyable is the Weapon Unit series, and here are some of the ones I have acquired. No such thing as too many weapons, oh ho.



This is from the first two sets I got, set MW-08 Lance & Double Sword and set MW-09 Naginata & Sniper Rifle.



Now these other two sets are the MW-02 Bazooka & HandGun and MW-04 MachineGun & Missile Launcher. These critters will go perfect with any of the 1/144 kits.

Got the third Throne from the last forum outing during that competition in Sungei wang, so once I've finished the assembly the triple Thrones must be posed together!






Now a small side story from the PlaMo in FodderLand. Idea inspired from the Throne Gundams.

Chriswoo's mod of the VF-2SS is real good, reminded me about my own plan to mod mine, but instead of superdetail work like what he's doing, I want to make the Valkyrie exterior into its standard config, meaning without the SAP system attached; like so:

and being able to attach the SAP via custom hardpoints. Seeing the current kit has the SAP permanently mounted onto the body.

Oh yeah, one more thing. To chriswoo, about your many MGs getting conversion parts, I just wondered what happens to all the armour and etc pieces replaced by the conversion parts? Do you keep them as ammo for some later kit customizations, like with your Unicorn? Or you sell them off? My curiosity abounds.

Some pre-released info for the community:
-Tournament somewhat fashioned after my fav's Battlefield 2 gameplay mechanics, with a lot more Gundam flavour
-Up to eight teams participating
-The battleground is my whole house.

I am really excited to see how this will turn out. Even during the storyboarding I'm sometimes caught in bouts of mirth at the humorous ideas I'm presenting into this story. I'm no student in some arts academy, but I hope this next project will turn out good and be easily understood and enjoyed by our fellow residents, since the last project seemed to turn out okay. Be forewarned though, MIGHT be considerably hueg and most likely arranged into chapters for better management. Think of your episodic TV series.

As mentioned in Part 1, I went up north last weekend for visiting me extended family tree during the Raya celebrations. Knowing I might get some time off between the visitations, I brought my unassembled 1/100 Tieren along for some additional quality time, but from the pics below it seems I still lack the time to fully complete my Tieren.

Back to HQ the following day. 'Allo, peoples!


Some stuff that was turned up during all that cupboard digging for stuff to be used in my upcoming Survival Tournament sketch.

I've always thought that most of the best Gundam designs in Wing came from this G-Unit series.



Time for some retro. This is what a lot of the recent Gundam PlaMo produce lacks, a healthy selection of non-MS kits. One should occasionally be reminded that the mobile suits are not the only thing wonderous in the Gundam universe.

All of these are 1/1200 scale, except the rightmost two which are 1/2400. I kinda dislike the new EX Model series of ships because not only they're somewhat expensive, they're also constructed in what I consider a strange 1/1700 scale range. Same goes to the 1/400 Gundam Collections series.


Ah, the mobile armors. Another group of icons largely ignored. These are scaled at a decent 1/550 range.

Returning to my ongoing story project, theSoldiers of Fodder: Survival Tournament 2008.

Progress of this series has slowed a bit thanks to my workshifts, but I've still managed to gather the required resources to make this adventure engaging; more materials, more PlaMo, more Lego, etc.

The essential storyboarding of the entire series is also vital to maintain the sequence of events and to give it an episodic / chapter manner (as mentioned in the pseudo-spoiler of the previous post made in page 88), so I've got to do more brainstorming to get the result I want as compared to previous story posts which were relatively simple to execute.


And now, as the opening chapter, I present to thee the 8 teams participating in the Tournament:

In the next instalment, we will be shown the proceedings of the opening ceremony and the full Tournament details; the rules, the tools and the map. So stick around, compatriots!
