Feel like writing a long post so here goes...
I started my build on Al Taisen model kit yesterday, even though I only completed both of his arms, I got the impression that it would look awesome when completed. ![]() Comparing the arms with a standard cotton bud I kinda enjoyed building Al Teisen. Unlike Gundam, Kotobukiya somehow able to cover up certain areas that has stress cut (the stress occurred when you cut the pastic with the cutter) perfectly yet make it looks cool at the same time. And no stickers required to beautify it too. For example, the rockets launcher : ![]() ![]() Open. ![]() Pushed the white "wing" behind the arm to reveal the launcher. Another cool feature is the grenade launcher. ![]() ![]() Pull the white bullet outward/upward (depends on your direction). ![]() Presto ! ![]() Other side. Overall, Kotobukiya has done a great job on SRW model kit. This coming from a person who haven't touched model kits for 8 or 9 years. IMPORTANT NOTE : Those who are building Al Taisen now beware, as UNDICI said about how notoriously confusing Kotobukiya's instruction is, and it did. ![]() Look out for the black one that stick out. Remember to snap in that black part first. then snap in the red frame. Laters. This post has been edited by Fatimus: Dec 25 2007, 10:02 PM |
