hey guys.. i tend to notice that a lot and i mean a lot of people collect buy and build gundam models and related,

Built these 2 years ago. Still got 1 PG strike to build, stopped half way since I couldn't get a good pump. Till now still haven't make any progress.

Dark metal is Tamiya TS-38 Gun Metal . Rm29.90, but usually they have 10% discount. Toycity shops.
1 or 2 years ago.. toycity suddenly had an offer Rm19.90 per bottle, but I have never seen this happen again (.Dove or Anchor Silver is Rm5.90 per bottle. Can find at carrefour, jusco, parkson at their DIY section. Tamiya TS is finer droplets, dove an anchor paint is rougher and I think bigger paint droplets. Here's a story of a GP02, bought 1.5 years ago. Messed up the original paint job, chuck it into a dark corner so I wont have to look at it. Months later, stripped off the paint and tried again. Messed up a second time, and again into that dark corner it went.
Then I moved house, decided to try again. Did it up halfway, and found out that some parts went missing during the shifting time. Arggh! So once again into that dark corner it went. Then managed to find the missing parts in a plastic bag somewhere else a week ago! And here it is, the GP02 in Titans colors...Edit: Original pics posted not too good. Posted again

i got it from XL last time as TM sell even more expensive than xl..lol

i will come out with a guide on how to post picture here tomoro(hopefully) cause so many people asking me how to do it.. in the mean time..here is my progress on v2 no AB, no drybrush, no lining, no paint, no nothing just yet..just pre assemble only.. i just got the frame done so far..,taking my sweet time to build it.. the infamous v2 pose...lol  front  rear  WARNING..this part i need to tell everybody.. yes the fingers can be mod just like strike freedom..but dont do this with v2... i done it just now..and end up all the fingers lose like hell..cant even hold the weapons anymore..end up cement them back together..lol  ..and this is the smartest part of this kit..the mono eyes  as you turn its head..so the eyes..it turns together..  this is one of the best kit i ever build so far..lol next stop..surface it then AB the whole frame  This post has been edited by VincC454: May 13 2007, 09:41 PM |

lol i used the Mr Hobby Clear Yellow + the fluorescents Green!
Spray them from inside instead of outside!!! I nvr thought off spraying the wings purple! Thx now i will tried to make it look more alike!!! |

newbie here.. just build my 1st 1/100 model kit wat i did is some simple lining and topcoat.. Comments are warmly welcome! Body complete  time for the weapons...HUGE sword  Here's the sword when they combine  sword almost bigger than the gundam itself = ="  Here's the guntling gun mode  Finally the last pose, only this last picture is spray with topcoat.. hehe.. Too bad my Char's rick dom thruster, accidentally touch the part where i spray the metallic color on it, making it now not perfect. my PG is still stuck at where the last pics i showed. been quite bz with work and picture editing
each time i cut the parts of the runners a bit sakit hati also.. hahaa coz i know i am not going to paint em, seeing left overs white colored stubs on the parts really ruins it. i have tried rubbing with my nails in the water, it doesn't work for all parts i think |

fyire may i ask? After you assembling that zeta, is it will loss on some part or all is stady? I remember last time i model that Z-gundam.... many part lossing there, drop here drop there...
Now still left the zeta ( black & red/white ) still in box there. I also heard from other ppl say that that z-gundam many problem like easy broke when changing to plane. |

Max himself colors all pieces black, then apply white on top of it. The actual coloring of the pieces is then done by spraying transparent paint on top of the white. As mentioned before. This is my PG strike. Althought i will will admit that i could be called the "unfinished business" king. As I don't think i will completely do up to strike. Some panel lines are not done. Some parts are still unpainted. Feet and thigh, already cut a rectangular hole and want to add a red sensor like GP01, use transparency sheet.
Inside the body I have fit in 2 led's and 2 tiny batteries. IT lights up last time. but now doesn't anymore . Wonder why and juz too lazy to fix it. I had this idea because at the chest area at both side of the cockpit hatch, there are 2 clear parts inside. I just can't resist the idea of lighting it up. Anyway, the orange is hand painted using tamiya acrylic X-6 Orange, greys are XF-54 Dark Sea Grey. After that, sandpaper to smoothen out the handpaint work. Silver inner frame using Tamiya silver leaf and the very light weathering, panel lining using tamiya enamel grey paint with a toothpick. Copper pistons,gold parts handpaint using Gunze copper and gold. White is Tamiya TS spray. haha.. also shows my gathering of 1/60 gundams, including the old painted strike and again 1/2 painted Freedom and 3/4 painted God Gundam. i really like the orange scheme u used for the strike.. good job.. but how come the feet is still red color? u haven't paint it or did u purposely do that? kinda weird lar.. anyway, here's my WIP for 1/72 SPT Bullgrenn.. its a kit from the 80's so the articulation is kinda bad.. and its not really a snap fit kit either.. had to use some glue to joint the parts.. here's few pics of it, havent decide how to paint it yet.. Hi there.
Just got my Zeta Plus A1 about 3 weeks ago but just got the time to finish it properly (although there were some places that I screwed up )This is my first MG kits because years ago when I was young and computers were just only Pentium 1 (you can imagine how long was that), I started collecting HG but back then I did not know anything about inking and painting. So it rather look plain and dull. Worst of all, of my HGs were destroyed during a recent flash flood in Malacca few months back. Right now, since this is my first kit after quite some time, I took my own sweet time fixing it. Boy, it sure looked so much nicer than those HGs I used to fixed. Sorry my CyberShot was wrecked months ago, no money to buy new one. So I have no other choice to use my N70. It arrived finally  The pieces from inside the box  Sorry I did not manage to take any pictures while fixing it because I was too into fixing it. Final product after fixing, inking and sticking   Now I'm waiting for my next kit to arrive. WOW nice TURN A! I need some advice on shading with AB! Cant really control my AB, ur AB is 0.3 or 0.5?

i think i should change to get a 0.3, my 0.5 one is very difficult to do shading! It tends to cover the whole thing instead of spraying a small part!

  not much progress on the upper body, currently working on the lower part currently reshaping the leg design (abit same concept like my last yr XI Gundam) as for the funnel pack, will post it soon...........its putty wet now and drying  extended the elbow & added the MG strike shield connector (might reject this idea soon.....temporary only) dun like the shield on the back-arm method.........prefer shield on the side-arm (like most models)  head antenna added  |

PLAK~~ argh.. luckily not happen on d legs /hand jointI use fully Hand brushing.. 1st layer is Tamiya Light Grey, 2nd layer Tamiya gunmetal grey- dry brushing. 3rd, Tamiya Nato Black - watery wash..for details. Results are very satisfying... but Tamiya colours are very weak and easily scratch off..( but i like the matte effect) so.. i spray everything and protect it with Mr hobby topcoat- matte BUT IT COVERS UP ALL D DETAILS... I think i sprayed too much topcoat.. many parts.. seem to have the "Frost" effect.. white white..fungus feeling.. and those metallic dry brush effect all bcome not that obvious.. wasting my effort of drybrushing..
Not sure this is suitable for this thread or not.. "mecha modeling" ...erm..this is ready made mecha..my REVOLTECH EVA COLLECTION!!

Here's my finish job of HG 1/144 Gundam Destiny, a gift for my birthday from my frens..

 just applied almost everything with primer. lesson learnt : apply primer before cutting em out from runners. small parts were flying everywhere when i spray primer onto it. lol |

you have to use clip to hold you part...you cannot spray while putting them on the floor then spray on the top of it..sure all will fly

nice kit but about the shading u need to pratice some dark metal color to leg and some other body part.

I use hardware thinner to thin it down, on a 2 part thinner to 1 part primer ratio without using any retarders, and it works fine. come out like a string or called spiderwebbing before it hit the surface means the surfacer already dried in the air...
its a bad idea if you just pour surfacer without thinning it first with thinner...not only spiderweb but also might clog your airbrush pretty bad. like fyrie suggest...using retarder also always help slowing down the drying process of your surfacer and also even for paint. you need to learn more about how to use ur AB...right now your RX really looks like a graffiti fiesta |

hi today i got mood enough to open my new bought Hyaku-shiki + baliute system
guess wat i hate those yellow factory color which almost 100% look like cheap toy so i decide to try experment with only coloring my entire gundam metalic color  runing parts well so far i done coloring everything just now assemble take me 5 hours to color and 2 hours to let it dry and start snaping. here i completed so far  here more detail i done with the hand  and the body  Oh i don't have AB so all is 100% painted by my hand brush  going to snap finishing soon This post has been edited by chriswoo: Sep 23 2007, 03:01 AM |

wah... all nice collection... going to post mine... just got 3 this month... finally recollect back after my old collection being sold by my bro...
all my models is 1/100 now... and got it cheap with parkson voucher... lol.. buy at parkson.... got ZGMF-X56s/a Force Impulse Gundam.. donno what grade.. might be NG got GAT-X207 Blitz Gundam and.... hobby section got almost 3 thread talking about gundam...i dont want it to be redundant and also get a complaint saying why other thread cannot be multiple while gundam thread can... please understand this. |

Hehe finally got my 0.3 AB and did some shading on my MG Hi Nu which i finish months ago! Dual AB style (If u dunno wat i am sayin go visit my blog)

Hi, I'm new to lowyat.net gundam room.
Just coming back from tft fever....now back again (back to gundam modeling.lol) 1st MG after stopping modeling gundam scall 1/144 model.   Ok, time to work it out... hey that's way nicer than mine!!
gundam markers or handpaint? oh yea..its advisable if u trim these place: - the sword edge n sharpen it. - the rectangular shapes behind the v-fins. - the edge fins at the aile pack. btw u planning to paint the skygrasper too? will look really nice |

Need to color layer over layer after the paint dry. the pink is 1st, paint a white layer on the top and paint red on top and use white marker again to pull the red paint, thus mixture turn into pink. bad explaination |

This is my MG Zaku II MS-06J, second time attempt in hand painting + sanding method

Hi again i try another experiment with hand painting but this time not on gundam but MACROSS MY 1st and only 1 macross collection but personally i think yamato macross classfield more to model kits than toys due to it's very very flegile and easy to break like model kits but i counter it and fix a few production faw from the macross VF-0S permenently ^.^ i do repaint everything + weathering as well but still very scare of breaking it parts on the process
