Completed an HG Kyrios yesterday...

Quick review:

Pros:
1. For such a small kit, it's pretty detailed.
2. The upper torso is relatively solid and sturdy.
3. The orange-white combo looks decent instead of cheesy.
4. The triple-joint shoulders provide great upper limb articulations.
5. The gigantic fins on the knees don't really interfere much with the articulation, contrary to my previous expectations.

Cons:
1. Lots of unpainted parts, but hey it's an HG 1/144. And the parts are very tiny and fragile, the face piece broke when I cut it from the runner.
2. Flimsy lower body. The rotating pelvis joint is a good idea on paper, but in real life it makes the legs wobbly. The huge rear skirts and tail binders hinder waist rotation. The front skirts become very loose after you separate them. The hip joint suffers the same problem as the Sazabi - it pops out far too easily when the hip is flexed or abducted.
3. Stupid feet. Absolutely appalling.
4. The plane mode isn't too appealing, and if you look underneath it's drop dead ugly.
5. Poor overall design... The Kyrios's design is messy and lazy. The huge nose for the plane flips behind and sticks out awkwardly, while the legs and feet look very weird no matter how you pose it.

Overall, I'd recommend the 1/100 instead of the HG. I'm glad this was a gift and not out of my wallet.
Or heck just go for any HGUC CCA tongue.gif

The white blade looks pathetic so I used Sazabi's sabre instead:

Comparison with the kickass Sazabi:

The sheer size of the Sazabi pwns all.

My UC kits:

Non-UC stuff, with Henry and Amuro's core fighter.

My Shin Musha. Basic mods to facilitate painting and tidy up only at the moment. Thinking of adding some pins and pla plate later on. This is taking soooo long blush.gif
