Current status of my Zeta+ C1 smile.gif Currently about 95% complete. Still need to clean up some smudges from the lining work, then apply the decals.

Here's my work in progress, my 1st remodelling kit, still a newbie biggrin.gif Currently still designing some of the details. Trying to make it as simple as possible since i've been spending too much time on the wing part. Not much modded on the armor, just some kotobukiya thrusters on its legs.
Lots of mistakes n some part i feel kinda weird n abit imbalance, can flame me! lolx tongue.gif
p/s: ignore the chicken behind, thats my mom's work (her kinda hobby) tongue.gif

Kinda smile.gif The preshading thingy is not really that new, just that the name, 'Max's Technique' got coined 'cause this is the fellow who popularized the method among the mecha modelling crowd.

Most of us probly use a simplified only version of Max's technique, where we only preshade the edges. Max himself colors all pieces black, then apply white on top of it. The actual coloring of the pieces is then done by spraying transparent paint on top of the white. Nice effects, but damn tedious to do.

As mentioned before. This is my PG strike. Althought i will will admit that i could be called the "unfinished business" king. As I don't think i will completely do up to strike. Some panel lines are not done. Some parts are still unpainted. Feet and thigh, already cut a rectangular hole and want to add a red sensor like GP01, use transparency sheet. doh.gif

Inside the body I have fit in 2 led's and 2 tiny batteries. IT lights up last time. but now doesn't anymore tongue.gif. Wonder why and juz too lazy to fix it. I had this idea because at the chest area at both side of the cockpit hatch, there are 2 clear parts inside. I just can't resist the idea of lighting it up.

Anyway, the orange is hand painted using tamiya acrylic X-6 Orange, greys are XF-54 Dark Sea Grey. After that, sandpaper to smoothen out the handpaint work. Silver inner frame using Tamiya silver leaf and the very light weathering, panel lining using tamiya enamel grey paint with a toothpick. Copper pistons, gold parts handpaint using Gunze copper and gold. White is Tamiya TS spray.

haha.. also shows my gathering of 1/60 gundams, including the old painted strike and again 1/2 painted Freedom and 3/4 painted God Gundam. unsure.gif
