who is getting dark avengers?
*
I am , for sure. I liked the outcome of Secret Invasion, although I didn't think the series was memorable, except for the end where the status quo got turned over on it's head. With "Dark Reign" I am curious to know how they clear up how the new cabal was formed. For me , Emma Frost being involved is quite shocking becoz she's been on the "good" path for quite a while. Also, with Dark Avengers , I would like to see how the rest of the heroes cope with the new world order of heroes, and how Norman Osbourne forms a new team of "Avengers".Should be good. smile.gif

Unfortunately, i noticed the dark Reign line of books are US3.99 ..arghh! Cover Price continues to increase. cry.gif

hehe.. smile.gif I don't have another copy of the 2nd issue. sad.gif I started reading Kick Ass for fun, didn't think it would be a collectible sort of book.

What a sleeper hit it turned out to be..haha. Can't wait for the movie...Heard Nic Cage is involved, not sure if it's true..haha.

Wah...everyone must have one "guilty pleasure" read. i.e Grimm Fairy Tales, Fathom and Jungle Fever...hahaha.

Looks like everyone reads the Avengers titles.

Arius,

How you put up with the Ultimatum storyline.? Jeph Loeb needs to retire. Glad they bumped him off Heroes.. rclxm9.gif

Noooo, the ultimate universe is nice! sad.gif

Well, the FF was enjoyable. Ultimates was good, didn't really get into Spidey. X-Men was alright.

Just got into the Marvel Zombies craze. Still wondering why it is so acclaimed tongue.gif
*
I think only Ultimate FF and Ultimate X-Men are over. But,Ultimate Spidey will go on and they'll be launching Ultimate Avengers.. rclxms.gif

ultimate spiderman will end its run on april as well. same thing is going to happen to ultimate ff and x-men as well?
*
I am pretty certain Ultimate FF and Ultimate X-Men are done, coz it's been removed for the solicitation list from Marvel.
I know Ultimate Avengers start after Ultimatum, but I also thought they weren't ending Spidey. If they are , it would be a shame.Ultimate Spidey is probably the best spidey book out now.ASM is getting better though. I still haven't recovered from the 90's.Awful, awful story telling. We can thank Marvel for destroying the comic hobby world over , thanks to greed and poor quality control at the time.

Eh Ultimate Avengers? Wasn't Ultimates the Ultimate Avengers? tongue.gif

Re-read Marvel Zombies and thought it was better the second time around. Too much Reed Richards during CNY. Re-read Zombies and then went on to read Secret Invasion TPB. Everything is Reed! tongue.gif

Then got myself Ultimates 3. Quite enjoyable.

Mark Millar is returning to the Ultimate Universe. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxm9.gif They are going to introduce more character's to the Ultimate universe( ie Ultimate Spiderwoman) and reboot it.

The Ultimate Universe was great , but pretty much lost it's way. With Millar back and Bendis getting involved as well, look for it to be great again. cool2.gif

The reboot is a chance to clean up the mess Jeph Loeb has left behind in the Ultimate Universe. vmad.gif mad.gif rclxub.gif

At least their storyline is consistently implemented across all their characters, unlike Marvel who can have Black Costume Spidey in one arc, and Spidey in Red/Blue in another tongue.gif
*
Agreed...at least in DC events in one arc applies consistently across all storylines. Marvel arcs are a mess. One reason why I follow one story arc that I like with Marvel , and ignore the rest. Reading the X-Men story arcs in Marvel has resulted in me having to seek out a therapist...Wolverine,for example, has probably mastered travel through the space time continuum, since he can appear in 10 unrelated events at the same time... icon_question.gif rclxub.gif .Ok , I exaggerate..but you know what I mean... blink.gif

(Top Cow) The Spirit of the Tao Vol 1, 3, 4, & 5
(Top Cow) Witchblade Vol 20, 21, & 25

Arius is right. It's all about demand-supply, the same as all things.

For example, X-Men Volume 2 #1 was released in 1990, and was the most long awaited book of it's time.
But Marvel printed millions of copies, resulting in everyone owning one or more copies. It's hardly valued above USD5 nowadays, coz no demand. You can find many people selling them.

On the other hand, using Arius's example , Witchblade Volume 1 #1 was released in 1995. It was a new title, featuring a then hardly known Michael Turner, in a relatively new company called Image/TopCow. It became a cult hit, and pretty much defined the "bad girl, good girl " era of comics.Demand is great, the number of copies left is low.
Condition of the comic is important. Modern Age comics form 1980 onwards, should not be anything less than a high grade near mint. Anything less usually devalues the book by huge amounts.

You've got some good titles there. In determining your pricing, evaluate the condition of the cover and inner pages ( colour must be off white(at worst) to white, no brown or yellow).Grading it properly allows you to determine it's value. If they are reading copies, then they do not have much value unless the book is absolutely rare.

Using your Darkness #1 variant as an example, depending on which variant, it's rarity, and the "Darkness" popularity, if it's in the condition as say, what you'd pick off the shelf in a comic shop, it'll probably cost around USD8 to USD16. ( really depends on which variant and condition). There were many variants, so you'll have to be specific. smile.gif smile.gif

Witchblade #20,21 are ok..probably in the USD5-8 region. Witchblade #25 may be higher value, depending on the cover type.Is it the standard cover, foil or speckled foil?

Cheers!

Also:

Mini Series: X-Force :Sex and Violence #1 to kick off

Ultimate Avengers is confirmed by Mark Millar

hehe blink.gif Dark Spidey. It's the strangest cover art out there. The artist probably had the draft out with female characters there and just swapped the head....haha icon_question.gif hmm.gif

I've added Incognito to my read list...nice read. rclxms.gif

The new Wolverine: Origins movie on the way out. The future of the X-Men movie franchise rests on it...After the disaster that was X-Men 3 : Last Stand, and the subsequent pull out of Ian McKellen from Magneto:Origins, the movie franchise looks like its going to fizzle out. They've plans for X-Men First Class movie as well, but the director just pulled out too...

Wow....Is anyone still following Witchblade? I just started to pick it up again after quitting around issue #50 something....Most impressive. The art by STJEPAN SEJIC is terrific. Kind of regretted stopping the series earlier, but at the time the stories were starting to be very poorly written.

I heard good things about Ron Marz, and took quite a while to jump back on. Just picked up the "Battle of the Witchblades" issue and really enjoyed the art and story telling... rclxms.gif

Check out the NYCC Midtown variant by STJEPAN SEJIC for Witchblade #124. Awesome drool.gif notworthy.gif

They ship in a custom box via USPS First Class Mail (That's airmail) . You'll get it about 9-14 days from the time they tell you it's sent.
