Might as well settle for HC or TPB since the quality is better
I know the feeling when u hold real comic book but if u planning to keep it mint, i think better go for HC or TPB
plus, HC got more extras

Depends entirely on your own actually.

Single comic issue releases first before HCs or TPBKs. Sometimes, they don't release in TPBKs or HCs.

Only recently that more HCs or TPBKs is released. Older X-Titles don't have HCs or TPBKs collection except Essential or Event related arc eg Fall of Mutants, Dark Phoenix Saga, Inferno Saga, X-Tinction Agenda, etc.

i prefer single comic issue, but hard to get sometimes, so i just buy hc

i live in sungai buloh.. usually i buy stuff at one utama MPH, about 20km from my house ... last time i went to the mind shop in centrepoint, cant find what i want... is there's any other comic store in damansara?

You can ask for pre-order with your local comic shop. Usually you order via browsing thru the Previews which is 2 months advance.

So that you will not miss any issue as compare to comic hunting when it is released.

is this the thread for hong kong comics too? i used to be a big fan of pedang setiawan... i love ma wing ching's drawings, and his writing especially the early pedang setiawan storyline.

Unfortunately I am not a fan of HK Comics.

Though I collects Japanese Comics - Silent Mobius, Mobius Kline by Kia Asamiya.

Then also Street Fighter (American Version - check out my sales thread), Darkstalkers - Udon Comics.

# 1 - 3 vs Magneto
# 4 - 7 vs Omega Red, The Hand : Good exploits of Psylocke and Wolverine too.

As for the others, not collected. I think I have several issues of subsequent X-Men # 14 and beyond. Interested?

Comics shop is Malaysia is getting fewer, we should support these shops unless we want them to close shop.

i agree with eric. they selling more single issues than HC version. i dunno why but i prefer the single issues... hehehe

You get the single issue earlier because TPBKs and HCs is a compiled version.

It is just that not every single issue is going to be compiled. Just those big 'event' story or just good story is going to be compiled eg. World War Hulk, Messiah CompleX, etc.

Hence your risk in waiting for compilation.
