THE MARVEL ART OF MIKE DEODATO HC
Written by JOHN RHETT THOMAS
Penciled by MIKE DEODATO
Cover by MIKE DEODATO
Mike Deodato made a big splash during the mid-’90s with a style combining a solid grasp of anatomy; layouts bristling with dynamic energy; and a brash, trendsetting dynamism that set him apart as a visionary Marvel could build around for the rest of the decade and beyond. With his startling work on Warren Ellis’ THOR setting the pace, Deodato’s later triumphs on INCREDIBLE HULK, AMAZING SPIDER-MAN and THUNDERBOLTS set the stage for his jaw-dropping visuals on DARK AVENGERS — where the stark, moody character of his work was a perfect match for writer Brian Michael Bendis’ deconstruction of Norman Osborn’s sanity. THE MARVEL ART OF MIKE DEODATO celebrates the vibrant and vital career of one of comics’ elite artists with a bounty of interior and cover art, character sketches, and unpublished work. Featuring commentary from many of Mike’s industry peers as well as the artist himself!

On the other note :

Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that Anne Hathaway has been cast as Selina Kyle in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises. She will be starring alongside Christian Bale, who returns in the title role of Bruce Wayne/Batman.

Christopher Nolan stated, “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story.”

In addition, Tom Hardy has been set to play Bane. Nolan said, “I am delighted to be working with Tom again and excited to watch him bring to life our new interpretation of one of Batman’s most formidable enemies.

Secret Wars --> nice artwork, should get in Individual / HCs / TPBKs (it was delayed in release for some time)

DD ---> rated very good

Secret Invasion --> for me, it's so so. hate the Spider-Woman is Skrull Queen.

Not really feel it though will watch it. How can RR just divorced ScarJo? DC Green Lantern and Marvel Black Widow do not mix? She is such a hottie, some guy.

Maybe the event leading to Avengers is crowding the superhero movie fever at this moment.

Reed - killed few times already
Sue - just killed though future version not so long ago
Ben - left FF before so kinda repetitive

Bwahahahaha.. get a prenup before marriage?

Anyway Phonzy is lucky to get a good gf. Well, as long as the titles does not include say Powergirl, Witchblade or any sexy main character - should be safe, I think.

So now working, and taking out 'revenge' in collecting comics?

As for me, just continuing the number run on X-Men... Kinda sad if missing any issue.

Officially after X-Tinction Agenda, Uncanny X-Men # 271 onwards.

Of course Uncanny X-Men # 238 is the one I buy first. Reason is that comics in my area at that time is hard to get.

With no LCS, hard hunting at newstands is the beginning before upgrading to order from newstand and then LCS. Ahhh. memories.
