Current setup: 2015 MacBook Pro 13' Dell U2312hm 1080p
Usage: - photo & video editing - the rest
As you can see, the 1080p monitor is falling short after getting used to Apple's Retina display. Hence I'm looking for an upgrade for the monitor.
I have a few models in my mind and they're all from Dell. So maybe got sifu would recommend me something better at the same price bracket instead being a Dell fanboy.
- RM2299 - P2715Q 27' 2160p - RM1999 - UP2516D 25' 1440p (premier colour) 100% sRGB probably overkill though - RM2099 - U2715H 27' 1440p - RM2299 - U2717D 27' 1440p (infinity display)
anyone please enlighten me?

Just like the macbook's 2560*1600 on 13.3 inch display

4k needs to be at least 32 inches up to 40 inches to avoid any scaling imo

P2715Q looks interesting for a 4k monitor. Might replace my 2410 with it.

If using native 4K resolution with 1:1 scaling, everything would be minuscule.
But why avoid scaling though, in fact scaling should make the content appear much sharper.

After research, I'll get a 27-inch 2160p monitor for the following reasons: - panel size upgrade from 23 to 27 - 2160p scale to 1080p for that retina-ish crispiness
