Around 3k usd excluding the hugo 2 (loaned) but that was long ago

I don't have the 800s but listened to them couple times. Listening to them at convention compare to having them at home are two different things so take my point with a grain of salt.

I personally prefer the 800 to the 800s by its treble response. I can't justify myself paying more money for the 800s is another reason why I only have 800. But then again, the system you have and your song preferences will determine which one of 'em suits your liking.

My previous setup (not the one in the pic) with the 800 is my end game until I decided to sell them (sadly) along with the headphone for marriage purposes.

My HE-4XX finally arrived.
Changed to third party protein leather pads as the original pads opening is not big enough and pressing on my ears. It also helps to tame a bit of the highs and increase the lows.
