What speaker is that? I woudnt recommend so near ur pc as the magnetic field might corrupt ur hdd.

How much does that set costs? How is the sound compare to Z5500 (stereo mode to be fair)

I still think its a bad idea for so close to cpu. Are you sure the sub is magnetically shielded? Or just the sats.

Why do you want to use optical if you got such a nice card? If not mistaken, optical bypasses all the opamp and dac giveing u the same signal as onboard optical out.

Kinda. Speakers need analogue signal to play. And they need to be converted to analogue so might as well be ur SC. Instead of a lousier DAC built into speakers.

Im interested in DAC MAGIC.. know the price locally? I dont have a set budget yet actually. But will get a DAC to mate with bookshelves which i will be getting sometime soon.

Thanks for all advices i received, i have finally my first hifi speaker after researching for a year.

At first i was going for the Mission M34i or the Wharfedale Diamond 9.5, but some twist of fate brought this to me. Forgive me as this is just a budget setup with second hand speaker but new int amp and cable

Yes i realise it from the first day Now i have upgraded my sound card and powercord since then. I am looking into amps but i probably cant upgrade in the near future as i cant afford those amps yet

I did test out the speaker on a rotel, the sound is thicker and more out but i think that amp also not enuf juice for my speaker.
I did consider downgrade to audience bookshelf at first but i think better upgrade amp... Right now, its quite good for wat it is, only complaints is thinnner sound and bass not ooomph enuf.

I see you are dynaudio user as well. finally see another user lol, how much did you get your audience?
