Damn. You need to do the HD800 justice by feeding em with a good amp. Perhaps a Beyer A1 rclxm9.gif

My current setup for my room

DAC and Pre-amp : Creek Audio 50CD (from my PC via Toslink)
Power Amp - Naim NAP100
Speakers - EPOS ELS303

In picture but not in use is a Balanced Audio Technology VK-200 Power amplifier, which I'm going to send for service as the left channel is currently buzzing. Hoping to fix it coz I really love this amplifier very much.

nice setup....the speaker stand.....

noticed you elevated the floor standers....what changes do you notice compared to directly putting it on the floor?

I get tighter bass impact and more soundstage depth from the speakers. I'm actually sitting on a bed when listening and hence my listening position is higher compared to sitting on a regular chair/sofa. Hence the need to elevate my speakers from the floor.

Always loved the look of the McIntosh. For stereo amp it always strike me as an amp which is not fussy accuracy and hence it can be enjoyed by anyone in the room without the need to be at the optimum position. Care to give the overall impression of their headphone Amp?
