QUOTE(DEVICLOT @ Feb 16 2009, 08:17 PM) i never audit it yet so i wouldnt know how it's performance yet..hmm for spec it looks interesting although the dac 7 hdcd caught my attention using high end audiophile philips dac7 and CAST technology....very interesting.....bnc and rca inputs as well from the pics, i saw they didnt skim all the cost for it as well all was properly justified and planned out for the parts and quality if i were u, save up and get dac7 or the dac8 for xlr inputs u cant go wrong with it although dac-3se is not bad imo .... Added on February 18, 2009, 3:00 am QUOTE(dlyz @ Feb 16 2009, 10:31 PM) Im interested in DAC MAGIC.. know the price locally? I dont have a set budget yet actually. But will get a DAC to mate with bookshelves which i will be getting sometime soon. here in sg they r selling at sg 599 back in msia i guessing 2k rm mostly .... magicdac is using wolfson chip and they r extremely laidback and very warm although the bass is still lacking in my expectation....havent try out the xlr so maybe i not 100% sure of his performance yet.... QUOTE(jkleejk @ Mar 1 2009, 09:04 AM) http://www.erji.net/read.php?tid=655633&fpage=6 dun get cds ler for movie i would recommend wireless ATH DWL5000 for FLAC, u got to get tetrabyte hdd or ipod classic instead, u will run out of space super fast i only used 320bits, my ear cant differentiate CD & 320bits above, so wont go for so extreme if 1 day going for electrostatic setup, then need FLAC or CD will be useful get sacd...for the extreme experience if u going for electrostatics u will be amazed on yur speaker cans..... cds maybe enuff for dynamic cans cos they still cannot give u the huge soundstage compare to electrostatics the noticeable difference is there when u heard electrostatics cans with sacd is large ..even better with turntables... |

QUOTE(skydna @ May 3 2009, 01:00 PM) wow sep90 nice upgrade again~~ hmmm i see Nordos,Oyaide GPX power cord and Enacom AC omg~~~ mind to share some comment about ur new toy? really intrested how those performe they r perfectly matched with each other and give me more body in my music.... the word is the music is very focus....able to dish everything out accurately, smooth, organic, refine, fast and natural... nordost blueheaven gave me more better mids to tighter bass ...the GPX gave more power, push and dynamic range when pair with my dac the 2 enacom gave me more darker blackground, thicker vocals, and superb crispy highs lastly the generator gave me better imagining, soundstage and better separation and at the same time demagnitize all my rigs in my room... another add on rigs....the ground conditioner rcg-24 ...... QUOTE(CLF @ Aug 1 2009, 10:08 PM) am curious with those Senn HD series. what's really the difference btwn those models? seems like beyond 600 are said to be high-ends, how bout those HD 4XX or 5XX models? hd4xx is nothing compare to hd5xx since i owned hd 465 ..it is very uncomfortable, bass bloated and very bright...i prefer the hd555 over it ....but that is my preference... if u got a chance to audit hd555 and hd465 go for it... |

QUOTE(Dunking @ Aug 22 2009, 03:05 AM) it is VDH orchid....expensive than Thunder line....however it is only good on if u got a high end source ...very unforgiving....and ahh...the smoothness i can die happily listen to it... but it loses to First Ultimate Mk2 and Platinum Hybrid no doubt.... |

my crazy high level audiophile friend's setup....ever wondered how side by side electrostatics and dynamics setup looks like?
1 dynamics balanced setup with electrostatic setup with plenty of cds to try out and looks pretty fierce to me This post has been edited by sep90: Dec 16 2009, 02:24 PM Attached thumbnail(s) |
