Hi, can anybody gimme some advice on Mechanical Keyboard choice? My budget are not exceed to RM500.

No need RGB, and must have dedicated multimedia keys(Not those Fn+*). My daily routine would be Gaming+Watch Movies/Songs+Typing(Working). Macro keys are unnecessary for me.

Simply my ideal are: Wired Mechanical Keyboard + Dedicated Multimedia Key + Durable

My current choice are: Corsair K70 Lux Brown

Do enlighten me and appreciate yours input. Thanks!

What about Cooler Master Pro S? Personally still using a CM Storm Quickfire TK.. 5 years now i think. But never used media keys.

Edit: Nvm, K70 is good!

Edit2: Anyone here got DSA Keycaps? hmm.gif

Finally got my Anne Pro bluetooth wireless keyboard from KuzumiTaiga 👌🏻

First impressions, this thing is really freaking compact. I could easily just slip it into my bag and carry it with me everywhere I go. If only it came with a proper hard-carrying case, then it would be perfect! 🤣

The Gateron Brown switches which I ordered feel really great to type on too. Definitely feels more tactile than most Cherry MX brown switches in the market (from my own perception and experience), similar to the brown switches deployed in the Logitech G710+ keyboard.

Build quality is spectacular with a very solid base with almost no flex at all.

My main gripe is with the interface of the keyboard which could be better. Bluetooth synchronisation is a tad fiddly, and I had to hard reset (by using a pin to the underside of the keyboard) once since it started lagging for no reason via Bluetooth. However, after that the experience, the keyboard has been superb so far! 👍🏻

I customised my Anne Pro with Corsair FPS backlit key caps upgrade kit too (from the KuzumiTaiga as well), just to give it some personality. Hehe. 😎

All in all, this keyboard is truly worth the RM300+ I paid for it. Now, I just need to find a proper case to carry it around snugly in my backpack. 👀

The response from LYN for the gathering is not really well here.
Already auto-gear run for this thread.

Anyway, we will have another mechanical keyboard gathering in the end of year. Thanks.

Hi guys! Planning to get myself a mech keyboard and its going to be my first one, so i have some questions about a mech keyboard.

1) are the brown and red switches the quieter switches?
2) any recommendation for a budget below rm 300?

Thanks alot guys

It's better to invest into a pricier mech keyboard if you want one that lasts longer, but if you want one for RM300++, you can buy an AnnePro for RM300+ from another lyn user around here. Brown and Red are a little quieter compared to Blues if that's what you're asking.

My latest collection, from top to bottom!

CoolerMaster Quickfire TK (Red)
CoolerMaster Novatouch TKL (Courtesy of @quovadis123 from storeuni)
AnnePro (Browns, Courtesy of @KuzumiTaiga)

Using the Novatouch at home now, daily usage, loving it so far! And using the AnnePro at work. Quickfire TK is now downgraded to use at mom's PC cry.gif
