Looking to let go my quick fire rapid-i that i use in the office. Hand itchy d want to try something else.

This week will have few Cherry MX switches keyboard price adjustment.

I don't really change caps alot. I think with costar i will just break it lol. I only fear cleaning inside will be a nightmare.

Any other brand out there I can find easily which doesnt use cherry? maybe topre or buckling.

Anybody knows where can I get custom PBT keycap sets? Don't see any places offering a large selection of keycap set anywhere..

Hey guys recently my "S" key requires me to press really really hard to register using my 1+ year old Razer Black Widow Chroma. I can't replace an entire keyboard because of this even though its damn annoying. So i was looking for away to fix it instead, perhaps with a Cherry Switch MX or if anyone can suggests anything else. I was looking high and low for anyone or any place that just sells the switch so i can replace the key (soldering required). I would really appreciate if anyone can help letting me know where i can get the switch from. Thanks guys

aha! now i'm almost certain that it's the firmware. (i thought i was the only one who faced this; noone seemed to report this) i have similar problems from time to time, but not that frequent.

better rma again, and better ask them don't apply the latest firmware update. (or come up with another firmware update)

note that if you put you hand under the board, where the controller is (which is around arrow keys) you will feel that place is relatively warm after some use.

edit: you can try out unplug the board from pc, press and hold fn + right alt and plug the board in to pc. also, press fn + e for 3-5 seconds, and fn + r for 3-5 seconds, source: http://community.coolermaster.com/topic/16...&comment=129604; somehow with the combo, my board returned to stock firmware version, 1.0.1, not the latest 1.2.1.

very sorry for this; it's my mistake. i have read the wrong section of the cm software (1.0.1 is the software version, not firmware version).

i thought the firmware has been reset, but after i have double checked just now, it's still not reset in my board also.

for some unknown reasons, my board is now working normally after the combo.

this one i do believe, because i have done the combos above several times, whenever it happened. (my issue is the following, not crash)

i think they screwed up the key rate part. sometimes, when i pressed fn key, and it indicated that i used 1x key rate option (f5), it's actually 2x. this usually happened when i switched between profiles. (even if i have key rate option disabled for all profiles, well, at least the software showed that) sometimes pressing f5 didn't solve it, hence reapplication of the combos.

hopefully not :/ of all my boards, this is the only one that have weird issues after firmware update. even my old k70 rgb that i treated drinks on it several times still work as is :/ (with latest firmware applied also)

in my case, although it's just few key presses to apply resets, it's annoying. really hope they will come out with proper firmware fixes for this. (the chance might be slim because only you and me reported this lol)

edit: i still haven't done anything to it. all stock, except for the key caps. please don't tell me it's because of the caps:/
