Guys!!!!!! I just got my MKB few days back. I really really really like it!!! Its only RM99 (AJAZZ AK33) and the typing feeling is super good!! I plan to purchase the switches in advance, so i could repair them when my keyboard got problem. Hahaha!!! Really happy!! I enjoy the typing feel so much. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

Actually.. I think mechanical keyboard is really worth buying. At least you can repair the keyboard yourself instead of buying another one, which cost you another 20-40 ringgit yet is just a normal keyboard. You can EVEN purchase the keyboard caps you want and customize it, also you may change the typing feel by purchasing different switches if you want. Unless you electronic board and the keyboard is totally broken (which will be really rare), else you may use up to few years i think. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Question : Where do i buy the keyboard switches like Cherry Blue ? Coz i don wanna buy some brandless/ no quality switches. sad.gif sad.gif

Question : Can i use other's brand switches (eg, Cherry Blue, Outemu) and install into my Ajazz AK33 MKB? (I think all the switches are universal/standardized regardless blue, red, black)

Q1 ANS: You can get from many places, like taobao and mechanicalkeyboards.com, for older Cherry MX switches (black case). The latest version of Cherry MX RGB is closed-source, not widely available, but still can get from taobao. Please search in taobao. Thanks.
Q2 ANS: Yes, you can, Cherry MX, Gateron, Outemu, Kailh, and other caplang Cherry MX clone can be use because all copied the same design.

Thank you so much for your help. notworthy.gif notworthy.gif I placed the order to get Outemu blue switch already (at least there are some backup switches before my keyboard got problem) bruce.gif bruce.gif

Honestly.. I really hope most of the PC users would buy MKB, because once you tried it most probably you will get addicted. Hahaha!!! rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif
Now i really understand the benefits of MKB compare to normal keyboard, especially the typing and gaming feel (key rollover/anti ghosting).
Somemore durable as you could repair them by yourself. Thank you so much Mechanical Keyboard!! Hahaha!!

Note: You don't have to go for the expensive MKB, as i bought the cheap MKB too. Even with less than RM100 you will be really satisfy with it's performance. rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif

You sure? I dont think Ajazz Ak33 have swappable switches.
*
Huh? I think so.. because I had purchased a mechanical keyboard from JM Gaming (Below is the product description).
I opened the cap and saw the switches (just like the one i ordered) of the keyboard. So i assumed if there is anything happened to the buttons i could change the switches.
Wait wait. Did I get some wrong information? Or my keyboard cannot change switches? I saw how they change the switches in youtube using some electronic devices.
So i think i could do the same.

Cant iinm. Jm gaimg got other models which can swap switches. If can chg the switch, there will be a descrption about this.
*
Really? Then i think i have wasted my RM20. Hahaha!! tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif
Never mind then, once my keyboard is spoilt.. I will try to repair it with the purchased switches.
So that means the switches that i purchased will not fit my Ajazz ak33 keyboard? Why cannot? I wonder.. confused.gif confused.gif
I thought all the switches are the same? As long as i could open the cover and unmount the switches from the circuit board then i could mount the new switches to it? confused.gif blink.gif rclxub.gif
Can la~~~ Unless all the switches are not universal, and the one i bought will not fit my keyboard.

How about others??? any comments???? Below are all the information of my keyboard included circuit board pictures

Brother Chua notworthy.gif
As long as the switch is swappable then should be fine for me already, because I just want a MKB with low maintenance fee.
You know.. not everyone willing to purchase RM100+ keyboard just to have the typing feeling.
Since there is a way to have a "Durable MKB" with very low cost yet you may enjoy so much of the benefits. I think this will attract a lot of users, because this make budget users to explore the nice MECHANICAL KEYBOARD!! rclxms.gif rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif

So i really hope my switches are swappable once my keyboard buttons are spoilt, and i may continue to enjoy the superb typing feel. rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

I still waiting the JM Gaming's reply. Once confirmed.. I will purchase some cheap key caps too. nod.gif

yes not hot-swappable; but they still can be replaced by soldering, so it's all good smile.gif

just have fun with the board first. it's not that the switches will fail within short period of time.
*
By the way.. what is HOT-Swappable?? This one i really don't understand.
A different way to swap the switch?

meaning the switches can be replaced on-the-fly, without soldering. just plug and play, like replacing key caps. there are already budget mkbs that have this feature.
*
Ohhhhhh. nod.gif nod.gif
So brother Chua means my keyboard's switch is not Hot-Swappable like easy-plug-n-play that already available in the market.
If i wanna replace the switch then i have to go through the complicated processes like unscrew, open cover, unmount switches, mount switches?? Did i get you right?? Let me know if i am wrong.

If that so.. I AM TRULY FINE WITH IT!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif Because it's WORTH!! hahah!! laugh.gif laugh.gif

for more choices, please explore at taobao.

you can even get thin double-shot pbt full-104 key cap sets (oem profile) for like myr 30 without shipping. if you don't mind weird key legends, i think it's a good buy (functionally i mean; i have some, they are really pbt, but thin).

edit: a note - very affordable key cap sets at taobao usually come with less efforts in qc. in general they are functionally ok, but with various levels of minor defects here and there. it's really up to one's fault tolerance in terms of defects.
*
Thanks for your info. But i don't really trust the quality of Tao Bao, I had gone through the website.
Boss i wanna ask you a simple question (i think it is laugh.gif )
Is my keyboard able to install this since it is meant for Cherry MX keyboard ?? ==> Translucent Doubleshot ABS 106pcs KeyCaps For Cherry MX Keyboard Replace
Of course some of them might not fit like ESC and etc.. but as long as the normal one fit then okay already.

Taobao Quality is about the same as jmgaming. dont worry. essentially, you get what you paid for. pay rm20 get rm20 quality. taobao has good and moderate stuff.
*
Still find it hard to believe TaoBao quality, because i ever paid RM50 and got RM39 quality. I also have a problem reading the "Chinese Terms" of the website. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
Actually i browsed some of the items already. RM30 compared to lazada one. I found that the pictures provided is more trustable. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
I know Tao Bao got good quality things for sure, but that website still not able to give me the confident. tongue.gif tongue.gif
Anyway.. If i really cant get it then i just go to Law Yat plaza to see whether there available or not. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif thumbsup.gif

bear in mind that diff rows, got diff profile.
so if u r buying single keys. make sure u got the right profile.
or maybe u can live w diff profile, its ur kibod afterall.

if u trust Lazada, u better trust TaoBao. TaoBao is better in my opinion.
but as in every online shopping, do ur research b4 u buy.
i oledy bought few cables from TaoBao, and all is still usable. no problems.

anyway i like ur enthusiasm on kibods.
good luck finding keys for ur kibod. i skip ur kibod bcoz of that weird layout. its cheap, but a headache to find replacement keys.
*
Hahaha!! Ya, i believe my keyboard got weird layout haha!! No problem, I can get those Standard Keycaps are more than enough (don't have to be all of them).

when you purchase stuff from taobao first make sure the sellers are of good reputations (e.g. blue or gold diamonds and crowns). there are good sellers there, selling cheap but good stuff. previously i had one incident that one of them sent less quantity than the amount that i ordered. they shipped the rest after i told them what were missing (as shown in their invoice). no questions asked. the goods reached me in a week.

yes i think you can use that double-shot abs key cap set; and yes, not all of them fits because your board has non-standard key cap profiles. (e.g. esc key, del/insert key; maybe the right alt and ctrl keys also not sure) if possible get double-shot pbt key cap sets. (and say bye bye to key shines biggrin.gif)

Guys... Please use mechanical keyboard for whatever gaming or typing reasons.
I am addicted to the MKB i purchased already. Purposely do typing (chit chat) during Zynga Poker and totally ignore about the game.
Please tell all the computer users/gamers that buying mechanical keyboard is not a waste, because it is really durable and can repair with low cost.

Normal Keyboard
-Less typing feel
-Cannot repair the keyboard by yourself
-No multiple input function (anti ghosting) ==> that means your keyboard cannot type this words THE QUICK BROWN FOX JUMPS OVER THE LAZY DOG WITH HOLDING 2 SHIFTS OF YOUR KEYBOARD
with anti ghosting you have better gaming experiences??

Mechanical Keyboard
-You will feel like pro (even you are not) when you are typing using MKB
-You may repair the keyboard yourself. Once repaired may be it works for another few more years ?
-Allow multiple input function, so you may type THE QUICK BROWN FOX JUMPS OVER THE LAZY DOG WITH HOLDING 2 SHIFTS OF YOUR KEYBOARD
-You could customize your keyboard to the way you like!!!!!!!! Keycaps' colours.. damm!!!!

Remember ==> Mechanical keyboard can be really cheap also. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif

Hahaha!! My keyboard heaven's spoilt yet. hahaha!!!
Once spoilt i will be really happy to repair. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
I don't mind if someone wanna let me repair. Of course I will do it with 100% carefulness. laugh.gif laugh.gif
Aiyah, how difficult can it be. I always see how my father repair the electronic devices. Unless the switches i bought doesn't match with my keyboard.
Three most important things are Solder, Solder gun, and that what tic tic tak tak thing use to make the thing out. I had them all.
Anyway.. I will be more than happy to try once my keyboard is spoilt. Hahhaha!! I just like all these stuffs.

By the way, I am super addicted till i do the typing lesson like below. So i can always practice for fun when i have time.

not hard, just.... i dunno the english word, but malay, leceh wooo.
owh its tedious(thanks google).

anyway, i have a broken blackwidow 2013 if u want to try soldering/desoldering.
u can desolder all the switch for me, then u take the board. haha. i want the razer switches, but lazy to desolder. the led desoldering is a pain in the ass.
where u from bro?

edit: tic tac thing is solder sucker.

Man~~~ ALL the switches is too much man. If you are talking 2-3 switches then I surely will accept for testing. Because all of them are really Leceh..
The person who mentioned his keyboard was spoilt only happened to his 2-3 keys are not registered I think.
I have a question here. Why not you just change the particular buttons that are spoilt instead of all of them? "This one i'm really curious." Coz i bought only 10 extra switches for the case of my buttons spoilt.

Ohh. I live at Negeri Sembilan (Seremban). biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
