Hey guys. It's been a while since I explore MKB stuff, I'd like to ask something about MKB. My custom made Magicforce 68 Gateron White had a few switches that were spoilt ( double register) and I swapped them out. The age of the keyboard is about 6-8 months
Is this considered as normal for Gateron White since it's only 35g? The spoilt switches are the commonly used for FPS game.
I'm also thinking of building a new mini layout MKB. Any new MKB pcb available on Taobao? Budget below rm500 without the key caps.
My goal is to make MKB with Gateron Red/similar. Preferably without LED too as they're too troublesome.

Hey guys, any recommendations for full-size/tenkeyless keyboard as low as possible, as good as possible too? I'm looking for one without led and detachable cable. Currently own a Magicforce 68 Gateron white, but the game I'm playing uses the ~ and ESC-F12 a lot. Any basic keyboard will do. I'm thinking of getting Xiaomi Yuemi off Taobao for about RM180 exclusive of shipping fees. Another cheap mechanical keyboard in black box I saw at Asashi, for about rm120 if I'm not mistaken. Will that Asashi keyboard be fine? Please advise, thanks.

Hey guys, I'm planning to get Topre Clone Plum 84 Non LED 35G which cost about RM320 off Taobao. Does anyone have any other suggestion? I do plan to lube it. I'm currently used to Gateron White 35g, so 35g Topre clone will be fine I guess? If I do lube it, how long will the lube last? Do I lube it once a year, or lesser? Please advice, thanks.

QUOTE(horns @ Oct 18 2017, 01:13 AM) if you used grease, i don't think you need to do it that often. i have read that it will last for a long time. (for how long i don't know) reapply if it's not good anymore. 35g? wow. that's light. Generally it's fine once you get used to it. Gaming wise, gotta be careful not rest your fingers on the key as you will sometimes press and register the key. Feels good when typing though, doesn't require as much force as other switches. I'd get 45G if I can find Plum 84 45g non LED/bluetooth though, couldn't find it...

Anyone with Tada 68 keyboard here? My keyboard is having an issue where I can't really click CTRL+SHIFT+ESC to pop out Task Manager window, I did swap out FN key with Alt because I'm used with Magicforce 68 layout. However, there are many option for FN key, but they're in Chinese. Anyone can tell me which 1 is the correct one to choose from? I think I chose the wrong one and my keyboard is acting strange when i CTRL+ALT+F4. This post has been edited by Nursh: Nov 10 2017, 04:50 PM Attached image(s)

QUOTE(zongeva @ Nov 28 2017, 08:27 AM) Hi there, I am using the default layout here. I think your issue lies within SHIFT+ESC part. With the default layer, SHIFT+ESC produces "~". So I think you have to remap the default ESC/~ into pure ESC for you to use the task manager hotkey properly. Also finally my CM QF TK has a new look. Damn hard to find replacement caps. The translucent parts do have some inconsistency, but man they feel much better than stock caps. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Thanks. Problem solved now
