QUOTE Elysium Dot Lofree Wireless Mechanical Keyboard[B] https://www.lowyat.net/2017/134116/elysium-...ofree-malaysia/The keyboard retails at RM449 for the off white and red models, while the white, black, green, grey, as well as pink will retails for RM100 extra at RM549. ![]() ![]() ![]() QUOTE Corsair K68 Spill Resistant Mechanical Keyboard Is Now In Malaysia Fresh from its world debut in Computex 2017 last week, the new Corsair K68 mechanical keyboard has landed in Malaysia. Comes standard with the world-famous Cherry MX Red keyswitches complete with gold contacts, it is also designed to be more durable than many of the keyboards out there. By durable, we mean dust and spill resistance up to the IP32 standard. According to Corsair, this was made possible by the silicone rubber shield that was implemented under each key in K68. Despite the presence of the shield, the keyboard still features anti-ghosting capabilities with full key rollover. Furthermore, K68 is also equipped with red-colored LED underneath each of its keys that can be programed to deliver dynamic lighting effects using Corsair Utility Engine. The same software also enable allows gamers to program macro keys for the keyboard. For gamers that are interested to get their hands on the new Corsair K68 mechanical keyboard, it is readily available in our market for RM 449. Of course, do check with your favorite game or PC retailers for its actually in-store release date. ![]() https://www.lowyat.net/2017/133971/corsair-...board-malaysia/ tbh my tastes lean more toward the corsair This post has been edited by Moogle Stiltzkin: Jun 14 2017, 06:44 AM |

Tecware Phantom TKL mechanical gaming keyboard QUOTE Available with either red and white-colored SMD LEDs, gamers also have the choice to obtain the keyboard with either Outemu Blue or Brown key switches. To ensure the durability of the keyboard, Tecware has used double layer PCB and double shot ABS keycaps for it. QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Jul 7 2017, 09:50 AM) It's good actually for having low price mkb in the market. Quality aside, it's budget anyway. You get what you pay for. yeh but just from looking at the specs for that price, seems way better than before. As usual, it will create another division in mkb community. i'm sure if we nitpick theres bound to be something we can complain about, but seems like a bargain mkb for casual typists to move from rubberdome to mkb finally but what caught me by surprise is double shot abs at this price point. i'm definitely gonna read the reviews for this mkb once it's out QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Jul 7 2017, 09:50 AM) Personal Comment: I hope I can test on this board, but I don't want even spend money to get it. <-- My scumbag attitude send some my way i'll help beta test This post has been edited by Moogle Stiltzkin: Jul 7 2017, 06:35 PM |

Cherry no longer king?
*notes; - cherry mx keycap compatible - no more soldering for replacing switch so if you still sucks at rts then the problem is skill, not keyboard ![]() This post has been edited by Moogle Stiltzkin: Jul 17 2017, 09:21 PM |

Cheap $45 Mechanical Keyboard Round Up!
![]() competition good, now more mkb flooding the markets, now the masses can afford them QUOTE(amirinz @ Jul 18 2017, 05:47 PM) Its expensive because of the quality, never looked to other keyboards since i bought my first mkb, which is coincidentally is a ducky as well. join the club QUOTE(irsyadfy @ Jul 18 2017, 09:08 PM) as u said, everyone have diff opinion. I'm still using my Ducky DK9008gen2 Tiger limited edition MKB. This was my 2nd MKB (which replaced an older ducky model).as for me, if i were to spend 200+, id buy a 2nd hand Filco kibod. quality very assured. ive bought 1 for 210 and so damn worth it. or wait for a discount and spend 200+ on a gooding brand kibod. but but but, as u said "At least quality ensurance is there based on the reviews and comments of purchasers" soooo how do u define quality? a board that last long? switch that last long? consistency across switches? readily aftermarket items? back-lit? if quality is longevity, how do u ensure that board have longevity? have the user use it more than 5 yrs? My used Filco is almost 4yrs but i still enjoy typing on it, every single day. This for me is quality. apart from readily aftermarket items for it. and consistency across the board. and switch that last long. except no backlit. or Only mods i did was replace keycaps for signature plastic custom double shots, cherry corp double shots, also cherry corp dye sublimated keycaps. Also a custom Escape key also double shots. been using it for years. for the wear, some of the keys especially near the center where i most often type, there is a slight shine effect. But it doesn't really bother me, also what mattered to me is the contrast of the double shots is as crisp and clear since the first i got them I avoided led lighted keyboards since my experience on a rubberdome logitech G15 with led lighting. I hated when the lights were dimmed, dead or dying. Unless i invested in a mkb with very good durable led lighting system i would not bother at all Only 1 key switch needs a replacement. all the other cherry corp mx brown switches working fine even now. when i initially got a ducky i thought laser etched keycaps no filling would be durable. it is but in poor lighting conditions the contrast sux tbh only reason i'd upgrade now is for - optical switches for faster responsiveness (it would also make future switch replacements much easier because doesn't require soldering skills, also mx keycap compatible) - more affordable prices - lots of new varieties of mkbs and much better builds compared to the previous lack luster mkb market of bygone years This post has been edited by Moogle Stiltzkin: Jul 18 2017, 11:00 PM |

QUOTE Handmade custom keycap 'keyboard jewellery' specialist Jelly Key has unveiled a new range of artisan creations. The new Forbidden Realm series is made by skilled craft workers at the Vietnam-based company, and these enchanting keycaps attempt to reproduce a scene from a forgotten world, sealed under crystal clear resin, and mounted on a Cherry MX compatible key base. These showy keys are often installed in the place of an Esc key to personalise / customise a cherished keyboard. Jelly Key's latest series is said to be "inspired by the greatness of nature and from our imaginary about the perfect place for taking a moment away from our normal life... etc". Based upon the SA row 3 cap the Jelly Key will be a little taller than a regular OEM keycap on the top row. ![]() ![]() ![]() http://hexus.net/tech/news/peripherals/107...iled-jelly-key/ |

QUOTE The Limited Edition Ducky One 711 Multi-Switch Mechanical Keyboard is Coming to Malaysia ![]() ![]() The Ducky One 711 is a limited-release product – only 1,999 units are manufactured and available globally. Unlike other limited-release keyboards, the Ducky One 711 is actually quite affordable: it retails for $139 where available. https://www.lowyat.net/2017/136502/ducky-on...board-malaysia/ tbh not really sure how practical this is. At most the mkb i'm use to, all is cherry mx brown. only the space bar MAY use a different switch. But this limited edition is uses different switches all over the place looks interesting if your a collector, but for a main driver i like something practical and consistent This post has been edited by Moogle Stiltzkin: Jul 22 2017, 03:07 PM |

QUOTE(Jay Chua CC @ Jul 28 2017, 12:55 AM) i checked the fine print and saw this QUOTE Aside from the PsychEagle and PsychFalcon mechanical keyboards, Armaggeddon also introduced the AK-999 SFX and AK-666 SFX. Although these are technically membrane keyboards, they actually mimic the feel of a mechanical keyboard pretty well. I imagine this is partly due to the long travel of the keys. so is it, or is it not? I did try topre those were great even as hybrids. but not sure about these psych's..... weird name cause you thought this was a full blown mechanical keyboard.. then PSYCH! https://www.lowyat.net/2017/137005/leapfrog...atroz-products/ This post has been edited by Moogle Stiltzkin: Jul 28 2017, 03:08 AM |

hyperx cherry mx keycaps any1?
https://www.techpowerup.com/235897/hyperx-a...ps-upgrade-kits QUOTE HXS-KBKC1: HyperX FPS & MOBA Gaming Keycaps Upgrade Kit (Red) HXS-KBKC2: HyperX FPS & MOBA Gaming Keycaps Upgrade Kit (Titanium) Availability and Support [B] HyperX FPS and MOBA Gaming Keycaps Upgrade Kit (MSRP €19.99 /£14.99) are available now in two keycap colours: red and titanium. FPS and MOBA Gaming Keycaps Upgrade kits include a two-year limited warranty and HyperX's industry leading customer service and support. Availability varies per country. or better yet Ducky One RGB (Full Size) Keyboard Lands With PBT, Doubleshot Keycaps QUOTE At this point, RGB lighting is not exactly a special feature, but this particular announcement is noteworthy because the keycaps are doubleshot PBT--which typically have opaque legends. These legends are transparent (or translucent, at least), though. Ducky said in its announcement that the Ducky One RGB is the only keyboard that offers this feature, which is probably technically true, but it’s a misleading claim. There are other doubleshot PBT caps with see-through legends--see here, here, and here for example--but this plank from Ducky may indeed be the only keyboard on the market that ships with such caps already onboard. It is, in any case, an attractive feature. Typically, RGB keyboards have ABS plastic caps with lasered legends. ABS is generally considered inferior plastic to PBT, and lasered legends are prone to far more wear than doubleshot legends. These particular keycaps are made by Hardcap, a Chinese brand that uses Ducky as a distributor and partners with Varmilo. Because we’re working from social posts and not official media materials, we aren’t sure of many of the Ducky One RGB’s specifications. We do know that the switches are Cherry MX RGB switches (although we don’t know which types) and that the keyboard enjoys the support of the Ducky Macro 2.0 configuration software. We also don’t yet know the price. http://www.tomshardware.com/news/ducky-one...size,35174.html This post has been edited by Moogle Stiltzkin: Aug 8 2017, 10:47 AM |

QUOTE(letze @ Sep 11 2017, 10:40 PM) QUOTE(horns @ Sep 9 2017, 03:55 AM) are those features that important to you? if yes, which one is more important? yeah i agree. i also luv cherry mx browns, but these days got so many new switches. Not sure now whether there are better options.imo the only practical thing for you to do is to test both boards at a shop. it's always better to try them out first hand for these switches, because they do feel somewhat different, even though they are in the same color. personally i suggest to go for cherry mx brown because of their proven quality controls. those newer switches using optical for even better latency seem impressive on paper. But i haven't tried it yet in person ![]() If you like bling, led lighting. But i much prefer quality keycap doubleshot pbs. QUOTE what is doubleshot - essentially the contrast of the lettering on keycap is very clear and does not rub off after use. QUOTE Ducky has collaborated with renowned Koji pottery maker, Master Sheng-Nan Lu, to include a unique hand-made Koji pottery badge in each of the Year of the Rooster keyboards. Given the intricacies of ceramic pottery (and the fact that only one person is making these badges), only 2017 units of the keyboard will be manufactured. These badges will also come in five different colours, which refers to the Cherry MX switch that the keyboard comes in. For the record, the Ducky Year of the Rooster Limited Edition will be available in five Cherry MX switches: Red (Vivid Burgundy badge), Black (Gem Black), Blue (Emerald Green), Silver (Sonic Grey), and Brown (Dark Sienna). wow it's like transforming MKB not into just a practical tech daily driver, but as a desk decor item personally i'd prioritize functionality/quality first over extras. but still if it's going to be your main driver and you want your desk top to look fashionable i guess its right for that.
