I see a couple of people here saying nav this nav that.

I don't think you all realize what the nav cluster is.

It isn't the arrow keys, but rather the Ins/Del/Home/End/PgUp/PgDn.

And also I got a Blackwidow OG Cherry MX Blue, which has malfunction Tab, left CTRL, and Q.
I swapped the switches with 3 macro keys switch, and it works fine for like 3 days, then its gone again.
If anyone got experience on how to fix this I would like to know as well.

Diagnosis in order of % decreasing probability:
1) Controller screwed (can't be fixed, time to throw away)
2) Problem with the trace on the PCB (can be fixed but troublesome)
3) Problem with the diodes (can be fixed)
4) Problem with those 3 switches again (super extremely unlikely)

Hi Sifu,

Is CM MasterKey Pro L recommended? Anyone has any experience with this KB? Is it good n reliable in terms of the keys n LED?

Thanks.
*
Yes. Recommended. Rate of LED failure in Masterkeys series is nearly 0.

You can get it here.

Btw I have a discount code for the site, but it's expiring soon... Hmm

The review is based on your personal experience or the rest of the community?
*
Both. And I own several keyboards with MX RGB switches in them. So yeah.

Am interested with the Pro L RGB actually smile.gif
*
I think the discount is RM50 if choosing Pro L RGB

this is not keychatter, this is confirmed controller issue

if you can't warranty it, just harvest the switches and throw the board away

QUOTE(horns @ Aug 31 2017, 10:06 PM)
oh; please tell us more about this; e.g. what are the differences between the normal key chatter, and controller-related issue?

edit: my so-called key chattering issue with masterkeys pro s was reduced after i have changed the key cap set to vortex pbt. i had no idea what happened.
*
I would need a few hundred words to fully cover this topic, but the TLDR is this:

Regular keychatter is related to switch debounce, i.e. 1 keypress is registered as 2 if the controller senses the switch to be in active state (pressed down) for longer than a few milliseconds, even if it had already returned to rest position. Many companies fix this by release a firmware update that specifies a longer debounce time to give the switch more room to "play" without it registering twice/multiple times.

Serious controller issue may or may not be switch-related. Good examples are:
- Characters suddenly appearing on screen even if you did not touch the keyboard
- Characters not appearing at all when you press the keys
- Hitting one character and seeing a different one appear
- Hitting one character and seeing it appear only several seconds later

Hopefully this gives you an idea.
