just finished lubing gateron yellow.

finally found the right linear switches that can provide stiff typing feels that i can take. compared to gateron black, yellow doesn't cause tiredness when i type on them for long hours. black does.

i suspect the heavier spring weight when bottomed out in black is the main cause. (like cherry mx black)

there should be a few others, but this feature is kind of lost in time because less people are using it these days.

alternatively, you can just remap a key for this on any keyboard with autohotkey.

Only older boards have that.. Filco, Leopold, and ikbc.
Now most keyboards using FN, and as you know, you can't map FN. Very sad.

Unlike MENU, you can actually remap the key to something else. Last time i map right row 1.25 to arrows.

Hi everyone... first time posting here

I was planning on replacing my Razer Blackwidow TE 2014 TKL with a full sized keyboard. Need recommendation. My budget around RM350. Prefer non-backlit/RGB ones and switch similar or better than the Razer Orange I've been using.

thx

you can try ikbc c108, https://www.storeuni.com/collections/mechan...ards/brand_ikbc

from reviews, razer's orange switches are like cherry mx brown with minor adjustments.

sad. viva la filco.
anyway. my friend forced to settle with K66/K70 instead for the context menu key.
btw. may i know any inputs for masterkeys pbt? how's frame build btw?
like ducky one has shit frame (feels a bit flimsy to me) compare to filco and leopold.
i've read someone reddit mentioned that the frame for masterkeys pbt around the bottom row flex a little.

The MasterKeys PBT is manufactured by Costar, the same manufacturer that Filco using. So, the board is using costar stabilizer, and costar keycaps (white font printed on top), but this time is thick PBT.
Whole keyboard is made in Taiwan, and the PCB is double layer with human solder.

I consider it as another Filco and use it. No gimmicks, all quality! The board come with 2 years warranty, although the warranty is totally not relevant for such high quality board.

I don't feel the bottom row is flex actually. Not sure how the flex looks like.

It took like 6 months to sell 1 Filco after GST and weak currency. From price RM 369 to RM 439 for TKL model.
It's hard to sell, and this board only targeted "Enthusiast" class.
And you can see, few months, will have people asking in the forum. Very seldom people asking this brand.

This is what i mentioned before, the current M'sia market situation. sad.gif

Yup. L do not have the routing design, and just a simple plug on the right side.

filco boards are too 'low profile'. at first glance, they're really nothing special. only those who use it before know its true values.
