QUOTE(MetallicSilver @ Feb 20 2017, 08:43 PM) Maybe better than previous gen. I am not sure. Personally, the one thing ii think this car need improvement is tyre noise. Wind sound comes after 130 which is acceptable. I heard that mazda car at speed 60-80 already wind noise? But I still love this car to bits coz the drive experience wins hands down |

QUOTE(168257061 @ Feb 21 2017, 09:26 AM) 1st thing 1st. What you used to wash your screen ? You have to clean it completely, make sure no oil stain or whatsoever before apply ultra glaco. 1) I use Soft 99 Glass Refresh to clean the screen . First, you use the abrasive brush given in the package, rub firmly to your screen and then wash off. (Recommended do it under shade, if direct hot sun will leave stain that you have to manually brush off while cleaning) 2) Wipe the screen completely dry, it is better to do it under hot sun (quicker) 3) Apply Soft 99 Ultra Glaco in circular motion 4) Wipe it off after 10-15mins, let it cure for 12 hours (as recommended) to take the best effect. 5) Try to drive > 70kph you will see the result http://www.lazada.com.my/soft99-soft-99-gl...l-18128013.html What ! RM92 for that two thing. Quite cheap. I bought separately, both Rm55 around QUOTE(ydc85 @ Feb 20 2017, 11:30 PM) Bro, i got a new honda civic fc, i tried to apply the glaco . bro , u using glaco or ultra glaco? Normally u after u apply ultra glaco , if u apply it at night maybe u need it more longer time to dry out, the 15 minutes is base on hot weather , so at night better leave it 20 min or more , it's ok to leave it long as it wont hurt ur windshield , about the cloth it's better to use micro fiber towel rather than those normal towel , and make sure ur glass surface is completely dry off only apply glaco , don mix with even little bit water else will go holand haha , after buff off , leave it for at least 6-12 hour only try it outI did it at night, my procedure basically is washing the whole car and dry off. Then i apply Ultra Glaco on my windscreen and rear mirror. Then waited for 15 min , then i buff off with a dry cloth. But then no matter how hard i buff off, i can still see some white stain under the light. Worse thing, when i went up to genting, i can see alot of mark when my glass fog up , seems like ultra glaco has stained my screen. i ended up went back to honda and got them to treat my glass to make it clear again. May i know what has i done wrong? Another reason that cause stain is u didn't compound ur glass before apply glaco , no matter how new the car is , after arrived dealer , maybe there already expose to sun and dust for maybe few week or few month before hand down to customer , so it's always always always always and always recommend to compound ur glass , make sure there is ZERO stain and dirt only apply Ultra Glaco , imagine if without Compounding , u are actually apply the Ultra Glaco Up the Stain or Dirt surface , that maybe make ur glass not that good So it's better to follow the video instruction i share , do it step by step , compound , after compound wash off , make sure the water is flow like the video advertisment , if the water isn't flow nicely , re-compound the area , after this dry off and only apply ultra glaco , hope this help This post has been edited by chongkiatz: Feb 21 2017, 11:21 AM |

QUOTE(DM3 @ Feb 21 2017, 11:24 AM) U tried Fusso F7? I am also detailing freak, all my cars can have show room shine even after 7 yrs Been using F7 recently and combine with Gold class, soft 99 micro rubbing wax(bought long time ago when i was in Jpn) ,3M quick spray wax and also some clay bar. Also Meguair's Scratch x & Bug n Tar remover. Last night just got the Soft 99 Extreme gloss Kiwami. Been waxing and coating weekly, so it'll stay shiny/glossy all the time i never try the fusso F7 , this the first time i try the Soft 99 product , i actually got the Soft 99 product recently , the Wheel Dust Block , Soft 99 Side mirror coat , Soft 99 Compound Z + Ultra Glaco , Soft 99 Fusso 12 month Coat wax The Soft 99 Wheel dust block is really crazy good , BUT !!! U can't kena shampoo and wipe off , else the effect is direct gone after 1-2 wash https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8ZV4bCfUoU same as the Soft 99 Side mirror coat , u can't even touch it , else the effect gone too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8_ali5PBXU Before this i using Meguaris such as Gold Class for wash once a week , Clay car every 6 month using 3m Clay, then ultimate liquiq wax every 3 month , then i also have Meguaris Spray Quick Wax to maintain wax every 2 week , Meg Tire Gel , Meg Spray interior Cleaning , Meg Spray susprime shine (for dashboard 3 month once) , and recently bought Meg Leather Conditional for civic leather seat , i think it is worth to spend a little time to detailing car because u let bangla wash ur car ,end up all scratch, when u go up to ur car whole car is bangla smell , and if car with proper wax , u really can wash and dry ur car very fast and easily https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MbAo8KLD1g As i read the review Fusso F7 can last for 7 month , the Fusso F7 is also highly recommend , but the reason i choose 12 month is about it might be more long lasting compared to F7 This post has been edited by chongkiatz: Feb 21 2017, 12:14 PM |

QUOTE(DM3 @ Feb 21 2017, 12:20 PM) Seems for coating, they recommend do wax 1st and coat, so i've been sandwiching alternately weekly and 4th coating in 1 mths last time using rain X , tak tahan , lazy do it every month , until found soft99 and it claim the ultra glaco can tahan up to 1 year , only give it try , normally i will see youtube real world review than those advertisment video (u know la those video is too good to be trust sometime)U lagi giler detail until mirrow/glass n tyres. me just body/bumpers and normal wet cloth wiping for dashboard only(so far good enough for my past cars) Last time when i'm stil young , i every week also spray quick wax , now old le 30age , every 2-3 week only quick wax once haha , if Fusso really can hold for longer time , then i will leave the wax do their job , can save my time haha , i understand ur feeling , the car 1 day no shining and feel LICIN , u can't sleep well, same as when i was young , even my mom say "U ah , every day lap lap ur car , paint won't rosak ah?" Last time when i using Ultimate Wash & wax shampoo , after wash car not feel as licin as Gold Class , i terus sell it off and buy Gold Class next day kakakaka , so far the best shampoo stil the Meg Gold Class , can use as claying too For the Dash board , it's better to get Meg Susprime Shine protection and leather protection or any other brand u can found , because our dash board , leather will be expore to SUN , and u know now weather is very very HOT , can go until 40degree , so if ur dash and leather without those UV protection , it will easy DULL , Crack in long run , and the Meg Susprime Shine i buy 1 bottle until today already 4 year if not mistake , stil got half more, after this just clean with wet cloth to wipe if got dust This post has been edited by chongkiatz: Feb 21 2017, 12:36 PM |

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Feb 21 2017, 01:38 PM) Unless they tell u that they will send it to those high end car spa's then its fine. If normal roadside one, then yes better not. Too bad all honda from my hometown is wash by their worker only Those purchasing from Honda Mofaz Damansara, they send it to Regal Vallet which is a good deal as RV is high end detailer. Even their auto bath club is truly unbeatable in value. RM60 per month for unlimited washes using Gyeon PH neutral shampoo. |

QUOTE(wkc5657 @ Feb 21 2017, 03:57 PM) You can request to view the allocated car before proceeding for registration, then you can check and raise any issues you find. Washing is actually fine, you can request them to not polish for you. I remembered the first time I checked on the car allocated to me, it looked like it encountered a sandstorm along the way, seriously thick dust. Haha, i will check before pick the car, hope everything will be fine as if got problem then the car have to leave and cant drive back T_TSo it is better that you tell your adviser to NOT NOT NOT, JANGAN, TAK BOLEH, NAI, BUYAO to register the car. Once registered, got a super long process to reject and even got issues, they'll just offer to fix for you even you feel tak syiok because the car wasn't in pristine state. Any case, congratulations on your new ride. |

QUOTE(ydc85 @ Feb 22 2017, 11:30 AM) I bought the soft 99 from eneos more than hundred bucks, so expensive!! I was worried that i might have gotten fake products over the net, you know la, just got new car, what also want to make sure good one Normally soft99 12month won't over 100 , price range is around 75-85 I am using ultra glaco, i guess i am going to buy a set of glass refresher with ultra glaco and redo it during hot weather. One set sufficient for our entire civic fc? After applying, do you guys wipe down you windscreen every morning? just to make sure the screen is nice and dry to prevent staining of the screen ? Or just leave it as it is? about the ultra glaco , better get glass refresh , do it , make sure water can be flow nicely thru ur window just the video advertisment , then apply ultra glaco , then u will notice , DUST only will STICK on the surface of ur windshield but not STUCK on the surface , mean u blow the dust also can blow off haha The 1 set of Cleaner can really use for few car , that include Front , Rear and Side window , i already done 2 car with balance This post has been edited by chongkiatz: Feb 22 2017, 03:06 PM |

QUOTE(isr25 @ Feb 22 2017, 01:11 PM) I seriously like this discussion - normally I go wash & wax outside because it's convenient. Reading all of your comments, I wanna try to do coating QUOTE(ummul21 @ Feb 22 2017, 02:14 PM) Yes, agree.. the car care discussion is interesting. 1) Be sure that clean and wash your car properly , the best out there will be Meguairs Gold Class shampoo , u can get from "cheeho04" member from LYN, he do carry all range of meguiars product , i always buy from him because of service and also good price , don always looking for cheap price but bad service I normally wash and wax in Meguiars car wash. After my coating, they advised me to do water coating every 2 weeks to maintain the wax. Is it really necessary to do this? and how is this process done, also I'm not really sure since I only saw them spraying water and its done. I like to try the soft99 12month. But not sure if I can simply do it on my car or I need to do claying/some other step before applying that. Hopefully sifus can explain on this. 2) Clay your car , no matter how new is your car , there must be some dirt that u couldnt see from the surface , claying is like using Scrub on ur face that scrub all the dirt away from your face Claying Tutorial : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhNxVDjlfh0&t=110s 3) After this , u can already start apply Wax or Sealant , so my previous step would be applying Ultimate Liquiq Wax , apply it thinly and waiting for 3-10 min , then buff off with your micro fiber towel (please get high quality one , or u can get meguaris shine micro fiber towel) I TELL YOU , ONCE U BUFF OFF , U REALLY WILL SMILE AND SELF-SATIFY WITH THE RESULT U GET Ultimate Liquiq Wax Tutorial : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWE1s3dEHNk So to maintain the life of Wax , don't wash ur car too frequently , the best is once a week. So to boost your wax , after wash ur car , u can using Meguiars Spray Quick Wax and it's so so so easy to use , just spray and wipe , that it , normally i will do it once for every 2-3 week , some will do it every week BECAUSE , u really feel very very smooth surface every time u spray the Meguiars Quick Wax. Re-Apply the wax for every 3 month That the basic to take care of your car , for professional detailer there actually got more step to go thru , but i think that not really neccesary , once u wax your car , then u can really wash your car easily , and dry out very fast Ur car is your baby , don let bangla to touch ur baby This post has been edited by chongkiatz: Feb 22 2017, 02:47 PM |

QUOTE(ummul21 @ Feb 22 2017, 03:23 PM) Thanks for the very detailed explanation. So your advise not to wash the car very frequently to maintain the wax life. The pro will tell u to wash car once a week , because the more u wash for sure it will gone faster , that the reason why we use Meguiars Quick Wax Spray to maintain back the wax that we wash off I use my car as commute to work everyday and the road I use is very very dusty especially on rainy days if I happen to be stuck behind a lorry. It is really worst that after the dirt dry off, my car look like cover by mud. So, in this case if I wash just using water will it make the dirt go off easily? and only wash using car shampoo once a week? So did you replace the Waxing step with the Soft99 fusso 12 month on your recent try out. I saw some of the youtube video you posted on that. It looks impressive outcome. Once your car is wax , the dirt will get off more easily when u washing compared the normal car , but in my opinion , the soft 99 done better job , meguairs macam will stuck like small little bit stone and dirt on surface especially around the tyre body, while soft 99 fusso coat , after raining day it like helping u wash ur whole car For more deep detailing , pro actually using Meguairs Ultimate Quick Detailer to wipe off those light dust , and it also can remove bird Poo so u no need to wash ur whole car just to clean off the bird poo, it can save ur wash car count , but me myself didn't really use the Quick Detailer because u need alot of micro fiber towel , so i just close 1 eyes and tahan sampai weekend , then open my pipe and start to wash my car and 1 more thing to discuss about the Clay Bar is , seperate the clay bar into maybe half or 1/3 , then the remain clay bar u can buy small tupperware from Mr Diy , put a little of water and keep it store , if clay bar didn't store with water base , it will become keras and u can't use it anymore , and 1 more important thing to take note is ONCE UR CLAY BAR DROP OFF on the floor , throw it and use another new clay bar , if u continue the dropped clay bar , end up u will get scratch over your surface , remember claying just let the clay flow over ur surface , don't really need to pressure it About the Waxing step after apply soft 99 fusso , i think i won't apply any wax after soft 99 fusso coat , because i would like to know how is the re-act of soft99 fusso coat after maybe a month or few without adding any wax topping if u really need to top the fusso coat , u can try to get this Soft 99 Spray Wax ![]() This post has been edited by chongkiatz: Feb 22 2017, 04:16 PM |

QUOTE(GeekinE90 @ Feb 22 2017, 06:00 PM) Washing frequently with a good PH balanced shampoo is important to maintain the coating/wax on the car. Many shampoos are quite harsh and meant to clean super dirty cars and strip dirt/oil/grime and strips waxes, polymers and coatings in the process. PH balanced shampoos are gentle to existing treatments already done on the surface. Good share, learn something new, it really good to detailing your own car because the one who love ur car is yourself, spend so much money to buy a car should jaga nicely hehe, when u drive out and the car is shining2 , other ppl also will eyeing on ur carGood PH balanced shampoo you can buy off the shelf includes : Meguiars Nxt Car wash, Sonax Gloss Shampoo, Zymol Auto Wash to name a few. The bottle and label should clearly state it's PH neutral if it is so, as it's a premium quality of a good car shampoo. Not all Meguiars car wash products are PH balanced/friendly. So if your coat your car, make sure you use PH balanced shampoos to prolong the life of the coating. There are also different types of surface properties each product leaves behind (most car shampoos leave behind polymers to enhance shine and protect paint). Some are high tension which sheets water off and some low tension surface properties which beads water on the surface. 2 school of thoughts, as some say water sheeting doesn't induce water marks from water beads drying under the hot sun leaving the water mark stains. However, water sheeting actually attracts dust as well and you'll notice dust will settle and stick on your car even if you drive it around. Low tension beading shampoos/waxes allows dust to blow off easily when you drive your car. All in all, I still prefer high beading products as I cannot tahan to see dust gather on the surfaces especially on dark color cars, so i'll just ensure if it rains and my car is parked outside, I take the special effort to drive it off before it's left to bake with the water beads under the hot sun. |
