Just got my car today. Lunar Silver TCP 2016. Happy. The car and loan were all ready since last 2 weeks before. But because I want VP car plate number, so have to wait until yesterday the VP start running.

During inspection with SA, I found two problems.

1. The rear left light not function. SA quickly send back the car to SC to troubleshoot. The socket was not put correctly. Most probably during the spoiler installation. This is a quick on the spot fix.

2. There are 2 deep scratches at the rear bumper. I show it to SA and SA confirm scratches and I need to return back the car after CNY. He need to send for repainting the whole bumper.

Overall, the car is ok. Top speed only 110kmh because he said don't drive more than 110kmh until I go to the first 1000km service. But very happy because this is my 1st AT and big car. Before this drive Persona, MT.

So today, can I offcially join the club? 😆😆😆

You bought the plate yourself or through runner? Wanting to get VR  icon_idea.gif
*
I pay the runner from SA. But I reminded the SA to inform his runnner when VP starts running. It is either the number I want (only 2 numbers I gave), or interchange with my trade-in car.

All the best bro for the VR number! rclxms.gif

You can change the settings so the headlights turn off as soon as you exit the vehicle. Once they're off, they're off until you restart the car. Let us know if you have any trouble finding the setting.

Will check back the settings.

Yea exactly the same! It doesn't happen all the time, only on rough roads. Sigh.

Would need to ask the SC to check once I'm due for my first service. What I'm worried is I won't be able to replicate the issue when I'm with them.

I realise if I hit softly the dashboard below the steering wheel, the rattling sound appears as well.

Same. Only happen if drive on rough roads.

Did you get the installer to connect the wire to prevent engine start? Does it affect the remote engine start?
*
After do research and do comparison, I installed Locktech. Remote start is working, even after use the double locked mechanism. Tested several times. So far no problem. But I rarely use remote start anyway.

Edit: Other than Locktech, you can check Aorto and TwinsLock. Do you own comparison and study, and make your decision.

One question, did you install the full package? Cause if you install the locktech, you can opt whether to install/connect the electronic part of the lock.
Interesting to hear that remote start is working eventhough by right it should not work after you double lock the pedal lock.
*
Ok here what I did.

After the mechanic installed the Locktech and test the start function, I tested it again at the shop. I pulled the 1st lock until hear the clicked sound, then I pushed the 2nd lock to lock the 1st lock. (Complete locked)

Try start the engine by push the start engine button. Electric system functioning, but engine not start. Success.

I release the 2nd lock, then release the 1st lock. Now push the start engine button. Electric system functioning, and engine start. Success. (Of course it will start because the pedal lock is unlocked)

Ok now the remote start function.

I lock the 1st and 2nd lock. (Complete locked). Close the door and lock it by pressing the lock button at the door handle.

Now from the remote key, I press Lock (car blink once), and then press the remote start button. Electric system functioning, and engine start. Success!

I enter the car, release the 2nd and 1st lock. Press brake and push start engine button, and all system run smoothly. Success!

All tests completed successfully...

Edit: Other than Locktech, you can try Aorto. Our friend here, Sawamura using Aorto and have no problem with remote start function.

PS: But make sure to check the pedal lock you buy is really Locktech Civic 2016 (PS) written at the box. Because before this I want to install Locktech and the seller said ok. But when he bring out the box, the brand is written in Thai. Looks like Locktech but but it is not Locktech. So I cancelled to install the pedal lock with him.

This is a stupid question. Where do you guys place your smart tag?
*
In the glovebox. And when at toll gate, take out and hold it near to windscreen (must hold it at center below the back mirror), if not, some toll gate will not detect.

This one you need to put the ppf. Paint Protection Film. A bit costly, but can prevent scratches and stone chips.

mirrorlink should be using cable or mirrorlink wireless dongle?

As I know, can use wireless wifi. Your handphone connect to the mirrorlink device using wifi. But the mirrorlink device need to connect to USB port for power.

Anyone can recommend lock nuts other than McGard? I'm OK with the price for McGard but just worried it'll be overkill. What if the lock nut gets damaged during an attempted theft. It's almost impossible to remove without drilling.
*
Even if you are using other brand also same. If the lock nuts get damaged, you also need to drill or force to open. But atleast you know your sport rim is safe because you are using wheel locks. tongue.gif

From what I understand, a maximum of 1000km is allowed. More than that, Honda has the right to void your warranty (if any).
*
Mine was 1124km something when send to 1st maintenance. And the SC said not void warranty. I think it is depend on the SC.

Yes, I think it depends on SC. But hope that won't when you wanna claim warranty for anything, suddenly they say "service was late by 1124KM" ranting.gif

What do you guys think of this?

Did you get the RM200 Honda OEM version? Or the full lug set (RM600/RM700)?
*
I get just the wheel locks only. With 2 keys. So can have backup just in case one key is missing.
