QUOTE(zkhin @ Dec 15 2016, 02:42 PM) ohya 1 more function, when you shift to reverse both side mirrors will move downwards so you can see the sides while u park. Yea, there's a couple of settings to choose from for when your car locks/unlocks. Eg. when shifting out of P, upon ignition etc if I'm not mistaken. But yea, having the mirrors fold when you lock the car would be awesome. That and to have the left door mirror angle downwards when you shift into R. Those would be a godsend. Can't be anything more than a few lines of code. Don't know why Honda omits things like these. |

QUOTE(0168257061 @ Dec 22 2016, 01:45 PM) You will not be disappointed with the power Agreed. I've drive several times uphill journey. No sweat. If you want more fun during uphill just S mode Try not to > 3k rpm when < 1000km I've noted that the "daun" Econ mode does make the car a little sluggish, but its fine for city driving or when you're ok with progressive acceleration. I guess it does save you some petrol although I don't know if this is mere placebo - haven't really gathered any real life figures. Anyone here done the experiment or knows how much Econ saves you? QUOTE(hihihehe @ Dec 22 2016, 01:56 PM) This one I can confirm. I usually have two phones and the key in the same pocket. Normally, it doesn't affect the signal from the key much but it gets really slow when the key is sandwiched between both phones or completely behind both phones - if that makes sense. Fumbling around in my pocket usually solves the problem though so I'm not too bothered. |

QUOTE(0168257061 @ Dec 22 2016, 04:20 PM) I always on eco mode. But sometimes normal mode will be more efficient because it takes lesser time to cruise speed. Eco mode take longer, maybe will consume more fuel from that. Yup, the car takes slower to accelerate to cruising speed definitely. Econ saves me some petrol by this process: Want to get up to 100KM/H>Press pedal> car accelerates very slowly> Car travels at 80KM/H>F**k it, drive at 80; approaching my exit anyways. Lol.Protip: always inflate tire with correct pressure. Anyway, for people with steel balls, I recommend you guys take the Race Chip Ultimate. Or Pro2 if pocket doesn't allows. Gain more power, but FC decreased too. |

QUOTE(facktura @ Dec 22 2016, 06:35 PM) Sori guys, just a lousy question. been 3 months now i spotted mini cockroach coming from the dasboard, i swear i never eaten inside the car. any way to get rid of these creatures? QUOTE(hihihehe @ Dec 22 2016, 07:20 PM) Pandan leaves FTW. Put a bunch under each of the front seats and maybe some in your boot. Your car con-lan-firm cockroach free. Had the same problem ages ago in a 15 year old Saga. Heard of this and thought it was an old wives' tale. But I was desperate and tried it. Works like a charm. Guess those old wives know what they're talking about la. |

QUOTE(GeekinE90 @ Dec 23 2016, 09:41 AM) Honda engineers took a bold step in the 2016 Civic to give it a nice tight steering lock to lock turn ratio. The Civic has a variable ratio EPS, and a sporty 2.2 turns lock-to-lock steering. The previous 9th Gen Civic had a more typical 3.1 turns lock to lock ratio, and most family sedans are around 3+ turns lock to lock. For a benchmark, the 997 Porsche GT3 RS has a 2.6 turn lock to lock steering, and the E92 M3 has a 2.4 turn lock to lock steering. Tighter lock to lock ratio make the car more responsive and quick while a longer lock to lock is a more comfortable lazy drive during long distance high speed cruises. Read about the rack being variable as well though I can't say that I've noticed it vary-ing. Hmm, maybe thats a good thing. Lol."Dual-Pinion, Variable Ratio Electric Power-Assisted Rack-and-Pinion Steering (EPS) Another Civic first, the Electric Power Steering (EPS) incorporates dual pinion gears and a variable gear ratio for improved steering feel, performance and comfort that surpasses the class. The dual pinion steering provides substantially improved feel compared to the previous-generation Civic. Compared to a traditional single-pinion steering system, the dual pinion EPS utilizes the physical steering input from the driver as well as from a supplemental electric motor. A non-contact torque sensor measures the driver's steering effort and an ECU determines how much electric motor assist to add, with the result being a seamless, natural feeling steering in all situations. The steering ratio is variable over a 17-percent range with a final full off-center rotation ratio of 10.93:1. This provides a quick 2.2 turns lock-to-lock compared to 3.1 turns lock-to-lock for the previous Civic, significantly reducing hand movement and the steering effort required when parking or maneuvering. Also contributing to the enhanced steering performance and feel of the 2016 Civic Coupe, the steering mount stiffness is higher, and the 30mm steering column diameter (up from 22mm on the previous generation Civic) also provides greater stiffness." http://hondanews.com/channels/civic/releas...ess-kit-chassis |

QUOTE(hihihehe @ Jan 3 2017, 08:28 PM) did a light kick on tire once but nothing happen so im not sure This is probably off the topic a tad - I was wondering if you turn off the car without engaging the parking brake, does it come on automatically? The thing is, when I engage it then I turn the car off, the indicator goes off with the car. In other words, there's no way of telling after I've switched off the car. Anyone knows for sure?but there is a motion sensor so if there is a mosquito or something moving inside the car then alarm will sound there was once that i park in low slope and alarm sounds too. that because i never pull the e-brake |

QUOTE(isr25 @ Jan 3 2017, 09:37 PM) No it doesn't engage the parking brake automatically. Unless you put on brake hold, and brake hold is engaged, you unbuckle your safety belt - voila! Parking brake engaged and brake hold disabled. Thanks for the info, man! If you wanna check, no need to turn on the car, just turn it to accessory mode (press start button 2x) and the parking brake light will light up for you to see. Press start buttton 1 more time (without pressing brake) to turn everything off. Gosh, I've probably left the car without the parking brake engaged a few times. I typically drive with Brake Hold enabled but I turn it off right as I pull up to my parking spot at home. Too damn hard to creep the car forwards from a standstill with the accelerator. Otherwise, it would be a good fail safe. Guess I'll just have to remember to engage the Parking brake like my old car, its just so much easier to overlook than the usual mechanical parking brake. Lol. |

QUOTE(rainkk @ Jan 5 2017, 10:06 AM) Hi Guy, after a week ride my civic 1.8, I'm quite enjoy it, this is my 2nd car after driving MYVI for 10 years. Just done tinted last Saturday 1. The infamous rattle shows itself again! LOL. I have the same issue; planning to get it looked at during my next service. I've read some of the guys here have got it fixed. Given the inconsistency betweeen different SCs, would anyone mind sharing where they got the issue fixed successfully? Hehe.So far I found some problem 1) Having some sound on my driver site dashboard around push start area when driving uneven road, will check it next week when doing 1st service 2) Auto Light Sensitivity, I cannot found this option in my HU, In my Lighting setup only have 4 option, Auto Light Sensitivity is missing. During day time, the headlight keep auto open, I cannot off it. Any way to off the light during driving? it is the light away in Auto position 3) When pump petrol, my wife inside the car and I closed the door, key is with me/my pocket, my alarm keep alert, what wrong here? 2. I don't thing there is a way to adjust the sensitivity and there is no way to turn it off unless you're in "P". 3. Probably the motion sensor in the car getting triggered by your wife. Nothing wrong per se. You could switch it off, there's a button near where you hear the rattling. Or you could keep the car unlocked while you're at the pumps. Of course, the third option would be to have your wife be completely still. Congrats on the new ride, btw! |

QUOTE(rainkk @ Jan 5 2017, 04:18 PM) Hi, I quite enjoy my ride. I think I made a choice in between HRV and Civic. Thank Yea, the tyre noise thus creep in but I think it's still within acceptable levels for a C-Segment sedan. The Mazda 3 is a tad worse. About the visors, I don't have any on mine but perhaps you could get those aerodynamically optimized ones. I don't know if the actually work better or not, but they're advertised as such. Lol.Last week when back to kampong using north south highway and easily up to 140-160km/h and car very stable but tyre noise and wind noise not so well. I have bought a door visor but not yet install. feel the wind noise will be more once install |

QUOTE(isr25 @ Jan 5 2017, 10:08 PM) Scroll a couple of pages back. If memory serves, one of the guys here got 7.2K rebate for his/her car with the 7K being courtesy of HM+Dealer and Rm200 from Tookar. So I guess it does work. QUOTE(ReVolVolution @ Jan 5 2017, 10:26 PM) Ok. Perhaps I should shine some light here regarding pumping petrol without the auto locking 'problem'. What I do is that when you stop your car for petrol, just shift the gear to NEUTRAL. Then, push the Start button. That way, the car will remain on (or on ACC) without running the engine. Come out pump and the auto lock will not engage. Been doing this with my other car too. This does help. Thank you, sir. I also feel compelled to share that my gf who drives the car (more importantly also puts petrol in the car) has not had this problem. She says that when she closes the lid, she pushes on the bottom right corner, which is coincidentally where the latch for it is in the "locked" position. Apparently it works even when the car's locked. Looking at said latch, the design also appears to allow for the lid to be closed when in the locked position. All that said, I don't do it that way for fear of risking any form of damage. The latch seems flimsy and worse still, seems like one of those tiny things that is a massive pain to fix.Hope this helps! End of the day, yours and "button combo" seem to be a most elegant (?) solutions. I've just been bumbling around in my pocket looking for the fob and unlocking the car to open/close the fuel lid. Only time I ever get the key out, really. Lol. |

QUOTE(kider @ Jan 7 2017, 10:07 AM) Hey guys, sorry to go off point but I've just come to find out that the 1.8 and TC versions of our car have different service booklet, the latter probably has a section for the A/B service intervals. I only found this out today (the hard way) cause i was given the wrong one. Lol.Just thought I'd share. This post has been edited by ClicksForKicks: Jan 7 2017, 01:11 PM |

QUOTE(babyblue89 @ Jan 11 2017, 11:14 PM) Sorry to barge in guys; but these clicks are they just persistent throughout the drive? Reason I'm asking is because I hear these clicks from the steering wheel area but they're only when I just start the car. Then they go away. So, I'm wondering if what I have is the same problem as you guys or even a problem at all in the first place. |

QUOTE(hamrog @ Jan 18 2017, 10:34 AM) I had to do my service A at around 8800. Sounds about right.I reckon should have about 8000-ish oil life before next service at around 17k. 100% daily city driving with occasional outstation trips. QUOTE(0168257061 @ Jan 18 2017, 02:49 PM) at 7000km That's exactly what I did. I read a few guys here mention that you can push your Service A to 10k and to it with your 10k service.you can opt to service both service A and normal service (10000km) so that you dont go back twice. |

My Service A was due at around 7800km, went in and got it done together with the 10,000km service. So essentially, I did both at 7800km. What I'm unsure of is whether one can delay the Service A and get both done at 10,000km. |
