I faced this issue before... Probably it's the software issue...

Based on numerous sites, you can disable the awkward animation on Multitasking view by turning on Magnifier using Settings > General > Accessibility > Magnifier > Magnifier turned ON

Then the multitasking view does not have the glitch anymore (no left then right animation) ...

But there's a caveat - the time to response after pressing home button twice will be a bit slower
