the latest 2.2L engine is a little bit underpower when going uphill, even manual, one of my mechanic told me that the whole intercooler is weight less than a kg, so the layer itself is very very thin, it may get burst easily, if you are unlucky enough

Did you own one be4? will you consider to get one even though it's old model (but NEW)

I have a Ranger using the same engine. I think you are confusing CC with HP. The old model Ranger/BT-50 had a bigger engine but the output was lower. The old 2.5 puts out 141hp and 330nm, the new 2.2 puts out 153hp and 375nm. More bang for less buck.

Some of my friends had issues with the intercooler piping cracking but it hasn't been an issue for me.

I don't know about the reliability issues on the older model.
