I am looking for a chromebook for my kid usage in school. The requirement is must be chromebook. So I cannot get any windows/mac machine.

I have tried looking around but the only model I can find selling is hp chromebook 14. Nobody else is selling chromebook in Malaysia. WTH? Initially I was trying to look for a chromebook that can run android as well. But looks like my chooses are seriously impaired with the scarce availability.

Would appreciate if anyone can recommend me somewhere to get a decent chromebook at a cheap price. Budget is around RM1000. Prefer screen size to be at least 13".

If I cannot find a chromebook, I might opt for a secondhand old windows laptop that I will install chromeOS. Looking for a light and thin secondhand laptop like asus transformers or lenovo yoga series.

Yes. I think the most common chromebook in malaysia is the samsung one. I believe there is an older and newer version but new will be more like rm1400
The acer one is more than adequate . check out lazada and similar

Google going to integrate Chrome OS with Android 2 in 1.
Better not waste your good money on one yet.
Unless you are 100% dedicated to ChromeOS

the choices of chromebook in malaysia is really little. Only can get HP, Acer and Samsung and out of them most of them out of stock.
