I am seen quite many post from Mod/Staff/Admin that sometime will seems offensive to someone. And very soon, the post is deleted/invisibled. I don't think this is a good way actually. Should be fair to everyone

And, Mod/Staff/Admin if want to edit something, we won't know they are editing the post as there are no notice below.

luciedit: you are definitely wrong. if we edit some post, there will be an "edit notice" at the bottom of this post. for example this one.

But then, there is a function for this also. Sometimes, people post warez or illegal posts that needs to be removed to prevent the forum admins to be sued for illegal stuff on the forum.

I understand those, is better to play safe. But, I have seen quite many what happen to what I am talking in my 1st post.

IINM only admins with access to the DB can anyhow edit your post without it showing that it has been edited.

Tell you what, next time you see such a post, take a screen shot, and if it's being 'covered-up', go create a topic here/PM se7en. Would this solution satisfy you?

Nah. I saw a MOD has actually edit a post without showing it has been edited.

how am I suppose to know when they are going to make a change of every post?

If you could see 'Main Site/Forum Feedback and Helpdesk' in this section, sometime we see posts from 'you guys' will be deleted immediately.

Joshua_0718, only Admins can edit without the 'edited by' being seen. It has been like this since November 2005, one of the first changes I made. Even then, the original post is retrievable from the database.

Occasionally, we talk to each other in a thread itself, especially on Feedback Desk forum to ensure we are uniform in what we say, so we invisible our posts. However, I don't remember seeing any offensive posts. If we want to do that, there are private moderator's forums to do that in

Now, if you see something 'offensive', go ahead and take a screenshot, post it up and we'll do something about it.

Talking about offensive, I always found an Elite member posts quite offensive, of course to other people, not to me. Just sometime I am being shock to see such a kind of post, and then when I refresh the page, POP, gone. I will PM you the nick as I don't want to say who over here. But recently seldom seldom seeing him/her posting already

I can assure you that no staffs or moderators can edit posts without a notice that it is edited, the code in place will ensure that.

If you feel any member that is abusive, please use the report button. If there is a moderator or staff member that you want to report, you can optionally PM an admin instead.
