Once u install vista without any antivirus post-installed, the Windows Security Center notification icon at the bottom right corner will turned red, indicating security issues and in this case for the lack of avtivirus. Click the icon and it'll pop the Windows Security Center window. Under the "Malware Protection" / "Virus Protection" tab they indicate the lack of antivirus or non updated Spyware scanner. There's a little "Find A Program" button whereby it can directed u to another website where u can get Antiviruses provided by Microsoft Partners like from Symantec, Trend Micro, CA and few others. U can try it for free. Done it myself using Symantec Antivirus trial for 90 days.

QUOTE(v1rtual @ Feb 10 2007, 11:44 AM) talking about free Symantec Antivirus trial for 90 days, i actually have the full copy.. I think u have to download an update to use in Vista. Yeah...i've uninstalled NAV and currently using Trend Micro.does norton AV 2006 work fine in vista?? anyway, i dont really looking forward to use norton, as its takes lots of memory while vista it self already require a lot |
