QUOTE(LeeJunLong @ Nov 18 2016, 02:11 AM) I am interested in information technology but, I only failed Sejarah in my SPM examination with 5 credits. Can I continue my studies? If I'm not mistaken, you need to pass your Sejarah along with BM to get the SPM cert. Meaning, if you fail either one of the mentioned subject, you cannot enroll to colleges or universities, but have to resit. |

I do have a certificate from my SPM examination just smaller, I've forgotten what it's called. I'm not intetested in Sejarah at all so there's no hope no matter how hard I study. This post has been edited by LeeJunLong: Nov 18 2016, 12:18 PM |

But even if you do manage to graduate, not having a spm cert will be a big disadvantage when you are applying for jobs |

QUOTE(LeeJunLong @ Nov 19 2016, 07:21 PM) The one I got was a Examinations Syndicate, This was given to the student who did not get a SPM certificate. That's your results slip. If you pass SPM, you will be given a SPM cert (one that is printed on a piece of A4 paper)Either way, you need to at least pass spm if you want a decent job |

You still got the SPM cert despite failing Sejarah. It just that Sejarah will not be shown in the cert, although I'm not sure about today's rules.

Those who failed SPM History can retake the subject in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia Ulangan (SPMU) 2014 onwards as SPM History will be a compulsory-to-pass subject beginning 2013 . So TS need to retake Sejarah if he wants to get into local Uni |

Oh, they will give you the cert but it will state that you have attended the exams but failed. Down at the bottom will be a line stating "Keputusan SPM: GAGAL" The cert will then be just a piece of paper that will get you nowhere if you want to continue studying. Even private colleges and universities cannot accept you because they are governed by the Education Dept. Best decision is to re-sit the Sejarah paper. NOTE: You can only apply to re-sit for the paper in the month of March. The Education Department will NOT accept any applications for a re-sit after that. If you miss that, you will have to wait another year to apply. |

You can try looking at Arte Academy, they offer Advance Diploma. The entry requirement is minimum 2 credits, and to what I know, if you fail SPM, you can discuss with them. They accepted students who failed their SPM before. I suggest you check them out |
