it feels a bit like FNR3... but it still feels weird... what does the LT(scratch) button do ?

it could be used as a bonus scoring method i guess..to lay the beatdown on your opponent and also to switch songs, to possibly make your opponent sway off their momentum..

i love this idea..fresh, and challenging man..not just merely beat-em-up..but bet-em-up with strategy and a keen sense of picking up beats..timing..AWESOME!

alamak.. wat happened to the def jam series? they totally changed it ka? damn slow if u ask me.. feels like fight night round3.. i've always been a fan of def jam series.. frm def jam: vendetta, def jam: fight for new york.. i prefer fight for new york better.. storyline & gameplay.. & the music on it was phat! haha.. hopefully this one wont disappoint me.. hopefully they still include playaz like busta rhymes, ludacris, snoop dogg, xzibit, manny, fat joe, and the rest.. i saw ludacris on def jam: icon trailer tho.. so he must be in.. & i hope they maintain the character creation frm def jam:ffny & prolly they could vamp it up a lil cos i love to see my character dresses in air jordans & bling blings frm jacob the jeweler.. fo shizzo.. haha! game's out in march & im getting it..

oh yea.. first time tried demo: feels like fnr3.. 2nd time try: feels like im playing mortal kombat: deception.. pls pls EA.. dnt ruin the gameplay..

very true bro..it DOES feel like FNR3..maybe cos tsunoda's behind this DJ b4? (ke mmg tsunoda was behind prev def jams too?). yes i admit too tht i preferred previous def jams cos it was a fast paced wrestling/beat em up style..FFNY was very good because the storyline was engaging as hell and customization was top notch.

but come DJ Icon, it DOES seem very slow and will definitely throw us, fans of the originals, off the tracks. but personally, i don't mind the change cos:

a) it makes it so much more challenging to time your beatings following the beats and what not.

b) you actually get to appreciate background music this time and when u get it right, u really feel like ur in a choreographed music video

and

c) uh..hell it does have the best hip hop stars, in bloody HD, and feckinly, eerily life like! (i love the details such as their shirts flipping up so you can see their skin. no more 'stuck to the bod' shirts now..makes it all the more realistic)

altho there are some things tht i really don't like such as..sometimes our characters are TOO sensitive to the environmental hazards. kena sikit je fire extinguisher, react mcm kene api..it just disrupts the flow to follow the beats.

all in all, DJ Icon is awesomely awesome and can't wait to get my hands on it! i quote xbw360 when i say, blamm, and most certainly O.

u knw wat i miss? the crowds help & the environments frm ffny.. remember at the club? whn u fight sean paul & pockets? i think the club, the factory, and the construction site has loads of crowds watching u fight & will help u whn u shove ur enemy to them.. & as fo the parking lot, 2 cars, hummer & escalade, they are pretty much static until u smash ur enemy thug on the door or windshield.. but i saw on def jam icon's video on some site.. where both fighters fought in frnt of a home (ala chingy's right thurr's video clip look alike).. where one fighter threw the other at a lowrider car and the lowrider car actually smash him.. i was like eh? cars substitute crowd? i miss the subway.. haha.. one throw towards an incoming train = fatality! haha.. timing beats? yeah... the scratch the music rite? pretty much like most ea big's gameplay.. like nba street: gamebreaker, fifa street gamebreaker.. i miss the finishing moves (BLAZIN' move) on ffny.. i hope they would maintain dat.. i love Ice-T's ballbreaker finishing move.. u throw ur enemy in an awkward position where his ass would be facing up, face down.. u run towards him n kicks his balls & BAM! ur enemy goes flying! haha

i still cant relate the story yet... in vendetta, d-mob's ur worst enemy.. ffny: u rescue d-mob to fight wit the crow (snoop dogg).. & in icon.. i think..urm.. u pretty much bring up ur hiphop label? assumptions, assumptions.. dayumn.. cant wait..

oh no Akon ka? i read tht akon was in it too? hope so..cos i wanna beat his ass to a lump of senegalian pulp!! i'm pretty sure tht self inflated ego of his would later comment "man, this game right here should very well be called Def Jam: Akon." the prick.

oh and as for girls..i saw some in some screenies..but couldn't make out whether they were artists..they look like some fictional characters...but i'd suspect that they include jiggle physics too huh?

the thought of creating my own fighter with ultra realistic models just makes me drool man..shit..bila march mau dtg cepat niiii!!~~

update: holy shyat..i played the demo just now..then when i was smashed towards the screen..big boi actually looked as if he was putting his hands on the screen..what an effect!!!
