I know i'm slow on this but, back then in pokemon diamond/pearl/platinum on Nintendo DS, how do you do battle with friends? Using wifi? or good ole cable like GBC?

I've a like minded friend, we're in our 30s that could not afford consoles back then so we wanted to play again but just not sure how it works... plan to play together and fight one another with 4 level 100s lol

The grind seems tedious but i’m ready hahaha

I stopped play at fire red and leaf green hahaha... then thats why so semangat wanna play 4th gen

(Btw in between, i think like 4 years ago i bought nds xl with pokemon Y, but end up didn’t play all cause i feel the need to play 4th gen, so i gave it to my brother instead)
Some more i hear 4th gen is really due to physical and special split

I didn't complete Pkmn DPP, I play on PC via emulator.

Now I owned 3DS XL, got Pkmn SM and USUM. All half way. lol

You should try out the Pkmn HGSS. (Gen 2)

Will do, btw do you think if connect online, will have other players still playing?

Currently playing pokemon showdown, format OU DPPt:
my currently line up is:
I have trouble going against bulky ghost type, so far its rotom (at this generation, its Electric-Ghost for all rotom types), i'm screwed if i have face dusknoir but so far no dusknoir yet, any pokemon i should switch or moves i alter? Was thinking of including a bulky gliscor w toxic in the mix, also i feel like my flygon doesn't pack as much punch as i would love, initially i wanted to put in garchomp but he's banished to UBERs..

I’ve not played DPPT OU format.
But how bout D-Dance T-Tar?
*
I did try T-tar but initially i had problem with fighting type, thats why my lead is change from fortress (explosion-rapid spin-stealth rock) to T-tar (as lead, so he's limited to taunt/steatlh rock duty already) to aerodactyle, currently aerodactyl is ok ok, if opponent starts with a wallbreaker or revenge killer means, i have to switch to other pokemon relying on their typing to survive the hit lol

also to add to DD T-tar, once i start setting up, opponent either switch to another pokemon that can OHKO t-tar or just roar him away hahaha, happens to me already hahaha, the nice thing about aerodactly is he's a suicide lead, but once he uses sky attack, he feels a bit useless lol

I think my currently problem is, facing ghost type and facing fighting type (still), as only venusaur can tank it then i rely on slow burn to wear him down.

Tyranitar in your case shouldn’t be the lead. Dragon dance Tyranitar is more a setup and sweep once you clear fighting types.
You can also go for weavile to revenge kill as well.

Also. No rapid spin on your starmie? Why surf instead of hydro pump?

I think gengar still has levitate in this gen. So that’s a good choice to check other ghost and fighting types.
*
hmm, i think can try that, setup t-tar, which one would u replace? Actually this setup i build round scizor as he's my fav pokemon lol

Just read the gengar part, it was between starmie and gengar, but i decided starmie due to bolt-beam

and i prefer surf.. idk ever since playing RBY, i have a liking towards surf as it hits decently and it was a HM move lmao

I’m really unfamiliar with DPPT OU metagame.
Does sandstorm boost special defense this gen?

I would say replace flygon.
There is a reason why it’s in RU in gen 7.
Though it might go up to UU in gen 8 given dexit.
*
Yes it boosts SpD, for rock type.

The nice thing about flygon is he's my immunity wall for ground and electric type for if i switch to heatran if i suspect opponent lead has Ice move and ground/electric(swampert/mamoswine) and switch to starmie if my opponent has water and electric/ground

6M sold worldwide on the first week. Looks like it's on track to beat Sun and Moon. Already beaten X/Y.
*
I did play pokemon Y before, then i meet one random dude, i forgot how, i think in the open world, he gave me a dratini that he breed but maybe got some flaws or not yet complete yet, the dratini levels up too freakin fast, i dont recall level'ing a dragon that fast lol, before i knew it, i got torchic with speed boost (i forgot was it obtained from NPC or some guy gave me), but yea, i feel like there was no challenge... i hate but do miss the challenge of picking charmander only to get stomped by brock then misty till i overlevel, then proceed to get zapped by surge lmao, then facing the pokemon i hate the most, which was milktank, level 20 fully evolved with total base almost 500 with STAB stomp and milk drink + attract lmao

If you want some challenge just play the game fast and push on forward, avoid trainers and pokemon as much as possible, it will give you some challenge for gym battles, but yeah too fast also not fun.
*
Don't get me wrong though, i do enjoy pkmn Y though, just wished the exp gain wasn't that fast
