I am not getting it.
The mechanics is not my cup of tea.
Prefer the regular one which I have grown up with since the original red.

Gonna get it just for collection and since it the pokemon yellow kinda storyline.

I'm getting it just for a newer Pokemon experience. More looking forward to next year's Pokemon

Anyone got recommendation buy Nintendo Switch with Pokemon Let's Go and the Pokeball?

The only thing good is the graphics and remixed soundtracks.
But I guess that alone might be worth it for some.

For me I just can’t accept the dumbing down of the game. From reviews, it is shown that the gameplay is many steps back.

Most of the features listed below are changed/missing.

- Abilities (and hidden abilities)
- items
- EV and IV
- breeding
- similar move set mechanics
- trading with previous generations
- Nature
- weather. Eg: ninetails changing the weather
- mega evolution (for all Kanto Pokémon)
- z moves
- evolution mechanics (leveling up/trading/stones/happiness)
- double battles

Already stated it's a spinoff but hey every single time must compare with the main series. Because it isn't already obvious it's a spinoff? Or are just people crybabies this days? Come on, it's a spinoff.

Those who complain about it will most likely buy it anyway. And yeah as stated from the start the game mechanism won't be similar, I don't see the issue. People already know this game is an attempt to make those Pokemon Go players buy a Switch for Let's Go. It's just a way for them to get new players of the series to play the real game next year.

Those who keep comparing the game with the main line needs to stop comparing. I see no point on comparing. Next time a Pokemon Ranger or other spinoff comes out, I hope to see this people compare it with the main game as well.

They state it’s a “core” Pokemon game and it’s marketed as one.

Also, it is developed by gamefreaks.
Which has never developed any spinoff games prior to this year.



So for regular players, of course we will compare it with Pokemon RBY/FRLG. Since this game was very heavily based on that generation.

We definitely know that this will be very attractive to Pokémon go players and it will still sell like hot cakes.

But it’s only expected for regular old players who likes Pokémon for the competitive scene to compare and complain. With what they’re doing with let’s go, Pokémon coliseum is more of a core game than this. After all, we all have been waiting for a proper high res core Pokémon game.

Guess we will just have to wait for late 2019.

True also, they don't develop a spinoff game, they only did a movile game recently called Pokemon Quest, and that was it outside of the mainline Pokemon. I think they were just interested to get some slice of the pie from the mobile area.

Sorry bit noob here. Is this pokemon lets go a remaster of pokemon yellow? Or complete new game new Pokémon?
