Welcome to ICE world bro rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

Most plp ( including myself ) playing passive system because its easy to tune and cost less compared to active.. Basic SQ will cost about 4k if im not mistaken with HU, component set, 4 channel amp, woofer, soundproof and wiring all.

Generally some ICE shops will have year end sale. Also you can check these pages in FB..

EA Autoworks, Etoni, Car audio malaysia, KF Audio, ML Automart, E Audio Auto, Frings Kajang and etc.. Also any shops near to you..

And Find for Howie from EA Autoworks in https://forum.lowyat.net/AutomotiveGarageSales..

Plan your budget, take you time, do survey kaw kaw then buy it bro.. Happy hunting thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

QUOTE(krayden @ Aug 29 2012, 07:23 PM)
Passive system - Uses a passive crossover, like the ones included in component speakers.
Pros - analogue sound, sounds real, "live"
Cons - tuning is done by changing components of the passive crossover, time consuming, trial and error style tuning, custom passives are expensive

Active system - No passive crossover. Crossover freqs are adjusted at the HU, electronic or HU crossover or processor.
Pros - clean, clear, easy to tune (done in 30mins)
Cons - digital sounding, not so "live" feeling

NOTE: active or passive is very subjective. You have to choose what you like. There is no one choice.

Semi active system - HU to electronic crossover to passive crossover to speakers.
You get the accuracy of the active system and the analogue feel of the passive system.

this is from the terminology thread bro.. i suppose this is the right one.. rclxms.gif

bcz my system got a lot of electronic components.. and the sit in car macam go live concert.. brows.gif

I think you get a good HU, front components and soundproof for now. I got 12" old RF if you want with lightning audio 2ch amp. Enuf to hear at the end of the block. Just take it.

Midbass got more definition. More details. Most importantly the rattles in the front doors produced from the speakers when blasting music is greatly reduced to almost zero. Other changes are subtle at most. smile.gif after doing all this, its still halfway done only. Subwoofer and sound processor, plus mono amp and soundproofing the rear boot and roof. laugh.gif if money falls out from the sky again.

Hi bro, its sounds amazing.. but my initial plan was to get 80prs but no budget so bought clarion.. cz703 was around 900 and 80prs is around 1400..

Diff between cz703 and 80prs is their EQ selection whereby cz705 have 5 band and 80prs is 16 band..

But 80prs doesnt have built in USB slot. you need use external usb adapter sold separately.. And cz703 have dual usb output.. one in front and another at the back..

rear output was connected to my oem usb output.. so i can use both usb ports..

The 80PRS is a much viable option compared to the Clarion. Much better support and at the same time many Tuners are accustomed to it already.

The only Clarion I've really digged is the only one that I have used before - the HX-D2 thumbsup.gif

I think the brand new ones are going for just above the 1k mark.

If you shop around well, you may bump into a decently priced used unit.
