QUOTE(mason123 @ Sep 18 2018, 03:40 PM) for me cc6 is a good economy tyre and good for family driving. quiet and comfort. Best at its price range. Agree with you. This tyre is quiet and comfy...So far 10k used at my alza and satisfied. I rate it better than NCT5, ep200 which i used b4. Again, please always compare apple to apple. Don't compare economy tyre with performance tyre. I rate CC6 much better than XM2 and Goodyear Excellence as I've tried these tyres. |

QUOTE(yikhoe @ Sep 11 2019, 06:29 PM) So cc6 no good.. I'm changing to cc6 today cause xm2 too old. If cc6 normal driving OK or not compare to xm2. You all make it sound so bad. For normal day to day drive. CC6 beats the old XM2. You will notice the difference in comfort and road noise. Can't comment much on the new xm2+ |

QUOTE(Archemedia @ Oct 20 2019, 10:36 AM) Yesterday morning a car sudden merge to my lane and i had to sudden brake. around 6am+, the road still a bit wet from previous day rain. My front tyre lost traction and skidded for a while but then regain back traction. I think i drove 80-90 kmh. Not sure i should thank the tyres my car did not spin or should i change to PS3. Using Conti CC6 now. I think its the tyres. I am also using CC6 now. Have to admit these set of tyres are comfortable and silent. However, when it comes to traction on wet roads, the condition is a bit tricky.*not straight line, slight bend road Grip is much lesser and drivers on CC6 MUST slow down on wet road / rain. I've been driving the same car for 10 years and never had ABS activated before. On CC6, already twice it was activated. |

QUOTE(kasha @ Jul 13 2020, 11:26 AM) Hi.. I am deciding for my 195/55/15. Yes you are rightNot sure to choose between yoko Es32 (rm155), conti cc6 (Rm170) and Dunlop D06 (RM160). My main concern is wet grip, going through puddles esp. Previously I had good experience with Yoko (cant remember C drive or A drive). Read lots here saying the wet grip of cc6 is not that good. Is it? |

QUOTE(zuozi @ Aug 5 2020, 07:27 PM) For 175 65 r14 for my working vehicle RM 119 each bought on lazada at feb 2018 and drive to kelana Jaya to change it after deducting toll fees and time I still save RM 200 because the time I'm at kepong most tyre shop charge for 160 ....... I am using CC6 too. Actually this tyre is very good for what it is meant for, comfort and quiet and adequate for daily normal use. Continental only claims the following:Until today still using still quiet , but don't expect handling all those things lah , for everyday use no issue at all Superior low noise level Excellent comfortable ride High mileage performance Good fuel efficiency However, many people always compare it with higher performance tyres. Always complain no grip and etc. |

QUOTE(nonexno @ Nov 19 2020, 08:27 AM) But no doubt the CC6 tyre is the most silent and comfortable.Since I don't drive fast, I guess my next set of tyre will be the UC6 which is a step up above CC6 while offering silent and comfort ride. |

CC6 is actually an uncle tyre. Suitable for uncle who love comfort, quiet and don't drive fast.
Opt for at least UC6 for better grip while still maintain quiet. |

QUOTE(einoom @ May 6 2021, 02:33 AM) Hi guys, I suggest you to go for UC6.. According to data, it beats or at least matches every aspect on the CC6. Im planning to get the cc6 for my vios as I've juz passed the 3yr/60k mark on this current set. Currently driving on cc5 which Im quite a fan due to comfort & noise. My drive are usually long distance and I can go up to 160km/h without much issue. My only concern I have is that occasional drive I have on curves / hills (ex. Karak highway) during rain. So far I do feel handling is abit off during rain, unless i go really slow. But its not so often. So im thinking should I get wider tires? Currently on 185/60R15. Or any other better tires? Or maintain wt cc6? Noise level is a priority due to the mundane long drives. 😆 https://www.tyrereviews.com/Tyre/Continenta...Contact-CC6.htm https://www.tyrereviews.com/Tyre/Continenta...Contact-UC6.htm The price is slightly higher but should be still cheaper than the Michelin XM2+. I don't recommend the XM2+ because it is expensive due to their branding and perception of being a high end tyre. Their tyres are expensive probably because they spent a lot in marketing. |

QUOTE(BlackBananaV6 @ May 11 2021, 03:37 PM) I was previously using many Michelin tyres. Then, got bored with their late product renewal / improvement (don't want to use same thread pattern on my new tyres), I went to use many other tyre brands. Tried Pirelli P6, Continental MC5, Bridgestone & Toyo (can't remember the model) all went with some problem. Previously I was using the XM2. Initial feeling was good but after 1-2 years, it was the worst tire i had ever use.. it was hard and noisy like hell. That was when i decided to stop using Michelin and try other tyres. Suprisingly, after using CC6, the tyre is soft, comfortable and quiet. Beat every aspect from the more expensive XM2 except for wet grip. I tried Michelin again, and been using Michelin on all my vehicles now. It started with Primacy 4 and then XM2+ on my other car. My personal experience tells me that Michelin tyres are more expensive because they are really good at making tyres. "Expensive" can be because we ask from wrong tyre shop. When I was shopping for XM2+, a Continental tyre shop quoted more expensive price for Continental equivalent tyres compared to XM2+ (than my usual tyre shop non-Michelin shop). Best to scout around before finalising the purchase. I have no idea how the newer XM2+ performs but I don't think it differs a lot from the older XM2. |

QUOTE(ru40342 @ May 11 2021, 07:16 PM) Agree with you that CC6 is softer, more comfortable and quieter than XM2 but isn't that the selling point of CC6 or any other softer tyres? Softer tyres obviously will be more comfortable and quieter than harder tyres like XM2. To say that CC6 is better than XM2 due to those reasons is unfair (similar to Perodua is better than Ferrari because it has lower fuel consumption). I do agree with you and our opinion on these 2 tyres are the same. IMO XM2 is superior than CC6 in aquaplaning, wet grip, dry grip and cornering. So it depends on your priority whether you prefer noise, grip (wet and dry), rolling resistance, comfort etc. It is not helpful to put such a blanket statement simply because CC6 suites your priorities. P/s: I personally have used XM2 and CC6, and I prefer CC6 as well as I prioritise comfort and quietness but I think XM2 (and XM2+) is a superior tyre, all things considered. My next go to tyre will be UC6. Saw the comparison chart and it seems the UC6 wins over the CC6 in every aspect but only loses marginal in terms of quietness. |

QUOTE(ru40342 @ May 11 2021, 08:01 PM) I am also looking to UC6 but now budget is an issue for me. If you have used it please share your opinion here. Would be helpful for many. Thank you I haven't try it because there is still a lot of tread on my current tyres.Since UC6 is considered 1 notch above CC6.. u can use it with confidence. One more thing is Continental tyres are made in Malaysia. Better support local production than XM2+ which are made in Thailand. |
