Tyre puncture has nothing to do with tyre brand or pattern or size.....

Well it has nothing to do with pattern or size, but maybe models. So far my experience with Conti CC series is riddled with puncture. Maybe other Conti series are better, but I don't know. But I am staying the hell away from Conti ComfortContact series like plague!!!

Now using Michelin XM2 for almost 1 year, no puncture at all.

If you've been following this thread or the Dunlop J5 thread, there were a few people who mentioned they got more tyre punctures with these tyres. I guess it's probably due to the pretty soft sidewall.
*
I think it's the general structure or compound used. Not really on sidewall, cause most of the puncture I experienced is being penetrated on the tread. Soft sidewall should only affect the ride quality, not the puncture resistance.

yep.. agreed to that.

new civic 2017 on continental tyres (will check the model later), around 2 weeks old got widely opened on the fuc*in thin sidewall only by a rub on stone road divider ..

vmad.gif only realized how soft it was..

Hi,

What tyre would you recommend for 195/55/R15 Honda City?
-Usually travelling outstation at speed 120-150kmh
-Like good grip in cornering
-Better grip in wet
-Quieter (as when u drive long journey can be irritating)

Good grip and quiet usually don't go together.

I just changed my Axia stock Silverstone tyres to Continental CC6. Tyre shop recommends 210kPa for them. The label on my door sill recommends 250 kPa. Which pressure should I pump? With my stock Silverstones, I followed the recommended 250 kPa and there wasn't uneven wear.

Now my car is quiet again (my CC1 is overdue for change )

Price is 280 per donut. 195/60/R15 @ Kuching

Can I get an idea of what to expect handling wise? In wet and dry roads. Plan to use this on my waja.

pump it till 250kpa

210kpa for this tyre is way too low, bear in mind this CC6 is a very soft tires.
