Manpad have limited range.. which is good for low flying plane or helis but only certain manpads can reach air liner cruising height. Medium range or long range all can reach. The best way however is to avoid flying those zone to eliminate the risk

S400 is manned by Russia.. i doubt they will shoot another passenger planes without warning unless they willing to take the backlash.

first it heavy even the light weight variant is not something you can carry whole day

The A400 was no more than a concept on paper that time. Of course this come with ToT in which CTRM have some parts in the A400 manufacturing etc

As I was told, TUDM have not much issue with western equipment even though they are forced to buy it. But again this is airbus military, they nvr get anything right the first time, ec725 similar with gearbox issues, and now the a400 gearbox

Tanks would remain track for coming years giving the heavier armour of a tanks, it not anytime soon it will be wheels based.

But armiers are moving back to advance medium tank with 105mm guns.

I think malaysia should join the bandwagon in deploying medium tank for troop support but one again may question when we aready have gempita with denel turret for troop support role

It would be must easier to work based on fnss and pt on indonesia medium tank concept. Joint in development of the medium tank since we already worked with them before

But again with gempita budget still draining the army wallet, doubt so anytime. I was told the army are avoiding the concept of mounting big gun onto small tanks since the skorpian with 90 gun which again a hear say that it have to stop to fire and if firing side way may topple the tanks.

But the fnss medium is a really tracked medium tank with proven turret design. So it might get our army interested again on medium tanks where mbt might be an overkilled.

It such thing were to exist, the likely contender would be cockerill with their CT'CV105mm turret like the one used in skorpian and fnss medium tank design
