For 'lain-lain pangkat(llp)'their retirement is based on duration of service, not the age... Their initial service contract is 12 years and can be extended until 15 years, 18 years or 21 years based on several criteria. Only who'd served for 21 years will receive a pension

for officer the retirement age is based on age
-captain and below - 45 years
- mejar - 50 years
- liutenant colonel - 52 years
- colonel and special officer (eg. doctors) - 55 years

so,if youre stuck at the a captain rank at the age of 45,you'll be forced to retire.

This is 10 years ago info based on Akta Angkatan Tentera... Its probably already changed/amended now...

So the new MMEA patrol vessel has been launched... And the name of the vessel is KM Bagan Datuk...
and guess what,Bagan Datuk is the constituency/parliment of Zahid hamidi...

i predict, the next mmea vessel will be named KM Tenggara ( Hishammudin's constituency)
