Hey guys, I have my first tube amp from blackstar, and I'm wondering what is the proper way of turning the tube amp off and on. Basically what to do with the power switch and standby. Anyone can turn on a tube amp, but I want to know how to prolong the life.

Basically what to do with the power switch and standby. Anyone can turn on a tube amp, but I want to know how to prolong the life. Switch on Power, wait a few minutes for the amplifier/tubes to warm up (while in Standby mode, sound will be muted), and when you're ready to jam, take it off Standby and play...Thank you very much for the read and help |

QUOTE(lockheed90 @ Nov 16 2016, 09:16 PM) Have the amplifier/tubes biased correctly and have your amp serviced/checked every year. For this reason, I recommend Ceriatone as these are the most reliable tube amplifiers I have played/owned, and easy/inexpensive to bias, and maintain. Aside from the fact that they already sound amazing. |
