Starting from yesterday afternoon, latency playing WOW has become unplayable.
All 60.50, 60.53, 60.54, 124 has been tested and all latency is terrible.
Reporting from Penang.

Set it run in administrator or use sockscap

Just to add this

218.111 IP is now solely for 4Mbps user and it offers the best latency to WoW servers (around 450-500ms - without any funny VPN services). Of course I've just tested in Stormwind on my friends laptop

So those of you who are thinking of getting good latency , upgrading to 4Mbps might fix it up

As for 4mbps , you can only get 218.111.x.y (whereby x is a fixed octet and y varies). In other words you can get ip ranges from 218.111.4.44 - 218.111.4.95 - thats about it , not more and not less

but for the price to pay for a 4MB line...would it be feasible?

i mean i am paying RM88 (Screamyx) + RM 20 (Gamepath) per month and getting a latency of close to 250-350ms, sometimes a nice fixed on 250ms...

unless 4Mbps has dropped tremendously, it is not a viable option for gaming i guess.

becos if Screamyx screws up or we have international line casualties, it falls back to one equation...

0 connection = 0 WOW

OK, this is weird. 118.100.xx.xx all of a sudden has become a good IP. Raiding 25mans is not a problem and it has been going on for a few days now.

It has a tendency to change which means bad IP can be good IP few weeks down the road. When one line goes bad, try your other lines, one of them will be good. If every possible IP sucks, all you have to do to confirm if its true or not is Streamyx problem is by coming here and checking the # of qq post. laugh.gif

yep totally agree on ip changes every now and then
i'm just trying to find an ip that i can stick on for that few weeks before it changes again.
before this i was using 115.something that i can't remember. pretty awesome ip for the whole entire day.
lasted like 3 weeks or 1 month.
but now i am using 118.100. its awesome around midnight but sucks in the afternoon
and tested 118.101. almost the same but better ms during evening. starts to get bad around 8.30 pm doh.gif
