Nasty nasty nasty.. (Using the usualy 60.54.xx.xx connection)..which was the most stable in my area (cheras).. (normally 400-600ms) which is playable

OK I have an odd problem since yesterday.

Pings to us.logon.worldofwarcrft.com --> 350-400ms.
In-game latency --> 2000+ ms.

WTF?

I've shifted over to http://jom-wow.phpbb3now.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=6

So will not be updating this post anymore on this site. Unless someone from LYN wants to take over, feel free to do so.

To change ip, just disconnect your internet connection and reconnect. Keep trying different IP addresses until you get one which gives best connection.

in other words.. turn off your modem and turn it on back after a few seconds..

repeat the process until you find the suitable ip for you..

make sure u record the ip ure connected to that gives u the lowest latency. websites like ipchicken.com or portforward.com will show u the ip if u dunno where to find. also, the first page of this post got record down all the playable ip ranges in various parts of msia. just have to find ur area and try reconnecting till u get the right ip.

btw, if ure sharing the broadband service with housemates that are dl torrents 24/7, then memang will lag wan. best is get a dedicated line ler.

Well, like I said, the 288 kbps are surprisingly stable. 512 kbps get wonky during peak hours.

well well, as i hav gone thru monitoring the ping time...
after 12am, the ping time gone stable like normal... WTH?!
i was pinging www.google.com from afternoon 4pm til 12am, the ping was like 1200 -1300++ ms...
after 12am, then only back to normal with 200-299ms...

as a result, i suspect TM sh!ttymix is playing something with the connection...
is time to flame them kaw kaw... as this is not the 1st time...
no way im paying RM88/month for this kinda sux ballz connection...
