Hi wanna ask as beginner mountain biker. Can 26er frame size 15.5 (missile) , wheelset 26er, put handlebar Pro-Lite 31.8 width 710mm ? stem 90mm. Its ok or to width ? coz my handlebar using now is 600mm Funn and not cozy for me when biking coz its short.

By the time reach 3rd? bump i got wayyy too much speed and air that i never got the sensation of that before... panic and most prob wrong body position as i felt too much weight on the handlebar upon landing...

no2. Nope, advanced riders that i can see from youtubes/gmbn don't touch their brakes when approaching jumps, instead they want to get more speed, touching brakes before a jump is just dumb.

Only agreeable part is brakes = safer.

in all seriousness, what do you think of a guy who over-armoured himself on the trail? I feel like going to buy full face, torso/shoulder armour on top of the standard elbow/knee/shin.. but don't want to look like kamen rider or like i'm sponsored by redbull...

i wear fullface helmet, elbow pads, knee pads when i ride kiara. yes, i admit sometimes i feel awkward and embarressed, feels like pipu staring at me. especially when i ride with very experienced riders, who just wear normal helmet and kneepads only. but then i think, better be safe than sorry. i already have those safety gears, so just wear them la, why keep in storage collecting dust. besides, fullface hensem yo! so now, if i plan to ride relaxed, or easy trails, i wear normal helmet and without elbow pads. if i wanna ride like stravasshole, or ride more difficult trails with obstacles, then i wear full safety gear.

funny thing is, whenever i crashed, it was when i wasn't wearing a fullface helmet.

guys, wanna ask. u guys wear inner padded shorts with ur baggies? what kind? cycling bib shorts? or cycling shorts? or specific inner?

hi gys, i'm looking to get a pair of shoes to use with flat/platform pedals. but with 5-10, teva, mavic flat specific shoes are way over my budget. i heard of some riders using skateboard shoes with flats. any thoughts or any other experience about this, guys?

yup, looked around but can hardly find at that price..at best, most are just a bit more. saw some ads showing tiebao cycling/mtb shoes. price is agreeable but are they worth it?
i mean, i do like a bargain but it has to perform and stand up to the rigorous nature of our sport.

On the other hand....any good personal advice for pumping? I've basically made zero progress at the pump track... could only go round half length of PCP pumptrack before need to pedal again, feel like im missing on how to "apply weight" down the bike to get that surge of speed...

if technique is ok, mtb oso can.. last time when i kayuh that pumptrack, got a fella on dartmoor primal/hornet, did 3 laps of the pumptrack without pedaling even once. and that was before one of the crests got cut down a bit.
