Me personally dont bother calculating total fares earned. I just mainly track gs, effective incentive earned and any promo to keep in mind.

Eg. 5pm UP. 1.5 / 2.4 / 3.6 + 3GS
Calculation:
Guaranteed incentive for 3 trips : 50
Less fares and GS 18 (ie 5+4+6+3)
Incentive topup before commission (gross) 32

Gross incentive 27.80
Nett incentive 22.24 +/-

Gross or nett calculation:
Compare fare vs incentive.
If the ratio is 50-50. You are okay.
If 40-60 or below. You are smart and lucky.

If is the other way round then you already enter ajaran sesat like WhiteWing.

Other courtesy is better to have. Example:
1. informing how many minute when you will arrive
2. drive safely
3. follow the passenger instruction

1. Probably pick up too far/jam. Feel not worth it. So cancel. This is acceptable if the driver immediately cancel like within 1 minute. Drivers got only 15 sec to decide when they got the job request. So be fair to them.

2. This case please report to Grab. It is wrong. The driver will be ban. Just scroll back your trip history and click report an issue. Then you can type there.

3. Remark stating you are waiting at which location / which shop / wearing what colour attire all highly recommended. But not type in phone number of your friend and expect the driver to contact your friend. Think and see how the driver want to make the call?
If calling you, it is easy. We just click the call button and can still drive safely.
But calling your friend, need to manually key in type the number? Please try for yourself while driving. Let us know if you successful not causing any accident. If you think we can just park the car at roadside and call then you are wrong. Most of the time request received while we are on the road, highway, in the middle of jam, waiting for traffic light, etc.

From your reply, I can see that you are one of those passenger treating drivers like kuli. Paying dirt cheap price and expecting every drivers to know all.
You can complain all you want but only point number 2 is an offense.

1. Example: Receive job request enter. Fare RM5. Location Jalan xxx. Apps stated 2km away. Driver accept. Open waze. Standstill traffic. 2km needing 20 minutes because of the jam. Driver cancel because feeling it's not worth the effort to go through the jam. Like my previous reply, driver cancelling within 1 min all due to the need to check actual pickup time on waze.

Anyway, driver also cannot simply cancel as they wish all the time. There is a weekly limit set by Grab. Once bursting that, driver will face suspension.

Why don't you put yourself in the driver shoe. Let's say for the above example, driver turn into the jam road. And then you cancel because you are not willing to wait. Driver get no compensation for passenger cancellation unlike Uber.

Everyday such incident happen. Driver on the way to the pickup point but passenger cancel for whatever reason. Same like your situation, we just give and take.


3. Do not trouble the driver by needing to contact another number.

this is another treat driver like kuli expecting the car arriving at their door step? walk a bit also will die.

you imagine I kena before. at PV8. Guardhouse to the front lobby is just like 30-50 meter only. after entering, just drive to the front a bit is the lobby. but still insist I drive inside. is not raining. and is not hot weather also.

I will just follow the rider order, rider say change to another drop off point, i will just say YES SIR.
reach destination depend on the rider courtesy to pay me how much.

End of driving just call CS and report all peculiar incident. No big deal. Wrong drop off point is the most common report. Daily will kena and I report. No need to make the CS confuse. Just say drop off point far away from what being selected in the apps. Put that remark enough.
